GSIs (Graduate Student Instructors) are UC Berkeley students or alumni who lead discussion sections and/or serve as an assistant instructor for a course. Duties of a GSI include leading review sessions, grading, proctoring, holding office hours, and meeting with the instructor to consult on the class throughout the term. GSIs are great resources for academic support in the program.
