On behalf of your entire Program Office team, welcome to Berkeley-Haas.
We know you are busy working professionals, many of you with families, about to take on a significant additional academic load. Our team is here to streamline your relationship with the university and to make sure all the resources at Haas and UC Berkeley are readily available to you.
We are committed to creating professional and social activities that will broaden your Berkeley-Haas experience and sense of connection, including networking events among the three MBA programs, relevant programming around your off-site immersion weeks, tailgaters and tickets to football games, livestreaming campus speakers to the comfort of your office, and bringing the best of Haas to your own lunchtime speaker series.
We are proud of what's in store for you, an experience unique to Berkeley-Haas, and we are ready to respond to your needs so that what happens inside and outside the classroom is the best it can be and truly representative of our brand. Please know that I will be very hands-on and highly accessible to your class in order to help make this happen.
On a personal note, before transitioning into education as lecturer in sports marketing at Haas and more recently as Student Experience Director, I spent 20+ years in the private sector. I'm very excited to be engaged so closely with a group of students with a similar depth of work experience.
This is going to be great.
Director of the Berkeley MBA for Executives Program
Prior to joining Berkeley-Haas, Mike held senior sports marketing positions for 20+ years with IMG, the Mark H. McCormack Foundation, and Creative Artists Agency, representing many of the world's most valued sports and entertainment brands in the United States and internationally. Mike started transitioning into education in 2007, first as an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco and then as sports marketing lecturer at Haas starting in 2009, while continuing to work in the private sector. Consistently ranked among the top instructors at Haas, Mike assumed the additional role of Student Experience Director in November of 2012. When not on campus, Mike escapes to Boonville in Mendocino County, where he lives in a converted horse barn, grows apples, serves on the Hendy Woods State Park community board of directors, and volunteers for California State Parks and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens.
