How to Join Student Organizations at the Haas School of Business
Step One: Join the MBA Association (MBAA)
All student organizations at Haas are chartered by and receive funding from the full-time MBAA, an organization fully funded by student activity fees. With the growing level of EWMBA participation in organizations, membership in the MBAA has been extended to all EWMBA students. The first step to getting involved in student organizations is to join the MBAA.
Benefits of Joining:
- Eligibility for membership in all MBAA-chartered clubs at Haas, ranging from industry-specific to cultural and recreational. Please note that individual clubs do reserve the right to charge a separate membership fee to cover additional operating expenses
- Access to Firm nights, to enhance your job or internship search
- Invitations to Bars of the Week and Consumption Functions
- The opportunity to extend your network beyond the EWMBA by meeting full-time MBA students
**The annual Services and Activities Fee for EWMBA students is $100. This is payable by check made out to the MBAA. Please drop off checks in the EWMBA Program Office.
Step Two: Research Student Organizations
Go to the following link to explore all of the student organizations that are available at Haas.
Click on the website for each organization to learn more. Follow the directions to join the clubs that you’d like to get involved in. Again, remember that you may be required to pay a separate membership fee to individual clubs.
Step Three: Take Full Advantage of Your Membership in the MBAA and Student Organizations.
Through this process you will become a member of the MBAA. Seek out opportunities to take full advantage of the opportunities provided.
If you have any questions, please contact the EWMBA Program Office at 510-642-1406.
