Study.Net Basic Instructions

  1. Computer requirements: Study.Net functions best with computers that use recent versions of Microsoft or Apple operating systems (Windows XP or Vista and Mac OS 10 or higher). Your computer should also support version 7.0.1 or higher of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  2. Login to Study.Net: To log into Study.Net, please go to www.study.net and log in with the following information:

Login ID: your Haas email address (@mba email address).
Password: first letter of first name and first seven letters of last name, lower-case. (example: John Smith = jsmith).

  3. Login during the Add/Drop period: During the open enrollment period, you are welcome to add more courses (up to a maximum of eight). To add a course, click, “access materials in a new course.” This will display a list of courses available for your program. Once you’ve selected the desired course, you will be prompted to enter a “course password” to complete the request.  The standard password to enter for all courses is: bears.

  4. Study.Net My Courses: Once loaded, you should now see "My Courses" displayed on the Study.Net web site. Under "My Courses", you will see all of the Haas courses you are currently enrolled in.

  5. View Courses: To view the on-line course materials associated with a particular course,
    a) Choose a course listed in the "My Courses" dialog box by clicking on it.
    b) Click the "View Course" button.

  6. Course Descriptions: The course description page will show you the course name, ID, instructor, and the course dates. You may also see a syllabus. You will also see a new menu of options on the left hand side of the page under "My Courses".

  7. View Course Materials: Under the "My Courses" button on the left side of the page, click on the "Materials" link. You will see a table of all course materials available. Course material is available in 2 ways, on-line and in printed Textpaks.

  8. View Online Course Materials (PDF ebooks): Most course material will be available via pdf ebooks. You must have Adobe Acrobat 6.0.1 in order to view these.
    a) Choose the pdf ebook you wish to open, and click on it.
    b) Adobe DRM Activator will open, and click "yes" if prompted. Adobe Acrobat Reader should launch and your ebook will load.
    c) Once your ebook is open, you can read it online or print it. Please note that this is free to all EWMBA students, and we encourage you to use the on-line version.

  9. Order Printed Textpaks: Starting this academic year (2009-10), printed TEXTPAKs will be available only once enrollment is finalized. Therefore, during the open enrollment period, you are welcome to view materials in every potential course, but you may only place an order for the printed pack once the add/drop period is over.

EWMBA students get one free hard copy (Textpak), if they decide that they want one shipped to them. EWMBA students can only do so the first time they click through the link "Click here to purchase a printed TEXTPAK" for each course. Any time after the initial order, students must pay for additional Textpaks.

  10. Confirming TEXTPAK Orders: You will see the cost of your Textpak on the page titled "Additional Purchase Options". To complete your order,
    a) Check the box "Order complete printed TEXTPAK."
    b) Click the "Continue" button.
    c) Enter your shipping and billing information.
    d) Once completed, you will get an order confirmation, and your Textpak will be assembled and shipped to your shipping address.
