2001 Project Summaries
Project assignments in 2001 range from feasibility studies, business
plans and market entry strategies to financial analyses and human
resources assignments. Our teams are drawing on every facet of their
MBA educations to provide their clients with the best possible advice
on how to handle their particular problems, challenges or issues!

The Ford
Motor Co. Ltd. has entered into a multi-year agreement to participate
in the IBD program. Ford first participated some years ago and we
are pleased to acknowledge their continued association with IBD.
For the second year in a row Lucent Technologies is participating in the IBD Program. We are pleased to acknowledge their participation and appreciate this demonstration of their confidence in our work.
For the second year in a row Haas IBD teams are working
with Hewlett-Packard's World
e-Inclusion program.World e-Inclusion is a new business strategy,
of HP, the objective of which is to broaden access to the social
and economic opportunities in developing countries. It has a particular
emphasis on sustainable business ventures that benefit the rural
poor in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
The Grameen Bank and its sister organizations have a special place
in the IBD program. For the fourth year we are sending teams of
MBA consultants to work with Grameen organizations. The success
of Grameen in using micro credit to raise the standard of living
of the rural poor in Bangladesh is well documented. But to continue
to improve the infrastructure to support the bank funded projects
Grameen has turned to Haas IBD consultants. Some of the organizations
benefiting from Haas teams are listed here.
