Any application submitted after the 6:00 deadline will not be accepted.

Participation in the IBD program (MBA 298 A and B) is only open to students already enrolled in the first year of the full time MBA program of the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. (See admissions for applications to Haas or to be put on the mailing list for an MBA application package click here.) Enrollment in IBD is limited to 72 students in any year. Therefore, students must apply for admission. The application process requires attendance at an IBD information session, completion of an application form, a 500 word essay and an interview. A resume is also required.

The program requires that you work on a project for a three week period immediately after completion of exams in May (May 24 through June 14 in 2008.) Participation may affect your ability to accept an internship or, at the least, may affect the starting date of an internship. You must be able to participate for the entire period.

Please Note: If you are in the process of trying to adjust your citizenship in the U.S., the Department of Homeland Security advises that there may be severe consequences for travel outside the country. Your application could be denied and/or you might not be re-admitted.

By participating in MBA 298A you are making a commitment to enroll in MBA 298B in the following Fall semester. This requires manadatory attendance at two, full day classroom sessions on seelcted Fridays in September and October, 2008. NO EXCEPTIONS. Credit for MBA 298A will only be received upon successful completion of both parts of the program. Non-completion of MBA 298B will result in a failing grade for the program.

Enrollment in the Haas MFE Program will prevent participation in IBD.
