The twenty IBD teams presenting at this year's Conference will be judged by a panel comprised of the following four individuals:
Pete Bartlett, General Manager, Corporate Business Development
Pete Bartlett is general manager of Corporate Business Development for Chevron Corporation. He has earned the following degrees: B.S. Civil Engineering, Pennsylvania State University; B.S. Physics, Juniata College; M.S. Petroleum Engineering, University of Texas; Ph.D. Petroleum Engineering, University of Texas. Bartlett has 27 years of industry experience, including 19 years internationally. Most of his career has been spent in the downstream business, although he has held positions across the value chain. He most recently headed up the Downstream Strategy organization responsible for overall strategy process management and development, operating company business development and competitor information.
Neil McGovern, Director of Marketing and Strategy, Sybase (since 1999)
Neil McGovern has over 20 years experience in the software industry. Neil is responsible for product marketing and strategy for Sybase’s financial services group. Currently Neil is focused on Sybase CEP and Sybase's RAP - The Trading Edition product, which combine to deliver a real-time analytics platform for Capital Markets. Neil has also worked in the mobility and infrastructure groups for Sybase. Prior to Sybase, Neil was VP Engineering at New Era of Networks, and CTO of Convoy Corporation, where he was a pioneer in the Enterprise Application Integration market. Neil has a degree in Computer Science and an MBA.
Gus Shea, Senior Audit Manager, Intel Corp
Gus Shea is the Senior Audit Mgr at Intel, covering world-wide manufacturing, sales & marketing, construction and procurement. Gus has been with Intel for 13 years in various finance roles, including controller positions in corporate marketing and product development. Prior to joining Intel he worked in finance for oil & gas and food service companies, and he had the dubious pleasure of restaurant ownership. He holds two Bachelors degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, in Mechanical Engineering and Economics, and he earned his MBA at UC Berkeley and his BAS at University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School.
John Kutz, Managing Director, Deloitte, San Francisco
John is a leader in the Deloitte innovation and growth practice and has worked across consumer and healthcare companies to design and implement new growth programs. He works at the intersection of entrepreneurs and corporate development helping large companies understand where new opportunities are emerging and how they can build new companies. He has also worked for Deloitte around the world, opening up offices for the firm in new countries and working on international social ventures.
