Research
Grants
Research grants are available
for faculty interested in international topics. We have awarded
small grants to a number of faculty. All Haas-related faculty
are eligible to apply for grants via short written proposals.
Repeat submissions should provide documentation that Clausen
Center support has been acknowledged in publicly circulated
research.
Data Sets
The Center also provides the
data sets that are vital to cutting-edge international empirical
work. These data sets benefit both students and faculty. One
example is Datastream
International, which is offered by the Center to the Haas
community. Datastream is an extremely rich source of on-line
financial and economic data that would not otherwise be available
due to its high cost, and is available through a dedicated
terminal in the Long
Library or the Bakar
Computer Lab. We also provide "World Data" from
the World Bank; the "TSM Global Economic Data Base"
from DSC; the "World Resources Data Base" from the
World Resources Institute; the "National Trade Data Bank"
from the Department of Commerce; and "International Financial
Statistics" from the International Monetary Fund.
