Class Selection & Registration |
|
| |
The MBA core curriculum is intended to be a broad overview of the various disciplines of business, and the coverage is, by design, somewhat general. You are expected to pursue more advanced courses in the disciplines that you believe will best serve your professional interests and career. We strongly recommend that you sample electives from several disciplines. The most important thing you will learn at Haas will not be specific, discipline-based tools or techniques, but the ability to analyze and solve problems. Most problems require familiarity with a variety of concepts, knowledge and tools in several disciplines. Your time at Haas is your opportunity to sample a variety of fields.
This is where you will find resources and information to help you select the courses you will take at Haas once you have completed the core curriculum.
Before the start of each semester, the MBA Program Office distributes information about course bidding for your MBA elective courses and about registering for non-Haas courses. Just before classes begin, you will receive another communication explaining how to add or drop classes. Each of these messages will have all of the information you need to bid on, add and drop a class. Please read them carefully.

Faculty Evaluations
|
|
| |
You may view faculty evaluations for the classes you are considering. Instructors’ effectiveness and the overall value of the course are computed on a seven-point scale. Faculty who receive a median score of six or higher are honored as members of “Club 6.” Visitors and lecturers who score below four generally are not rehired.
