Haas Awards for Entering Students
In 2008-2009, the Haas School awarded over $3.2 million in scholarships to domestic and international students. There are two basic types of scholarships provided by the Haas School of Business: Haas Merit Scholarships and Haas Achievement Awards.
There are also additional endowed scholarships. Unless otherwise noted, these additional endowed scholarships are awarded during the admissions process.
Haas Merit Scholarships
All applicants for admission are routinely considered for Haas Merit Scholarships at the time of admission review, and awards are based on exceptional merit and career potential as demonstrated in the application. Haas Merit Scholarships are awarded in variable amounts, ranging from partial to full tuition and fees for both years of full-time study. No separate application form or special request is needed. Applicants awarded a Haas Merit Scholarship are notified in writing with their admission letter.
Haas Achievement Awards
The Berkeley MBA program also offers Haas Achievement Awards, which are given to individuals who have achieved tremendous success in spite of significant economic, educational, health-related, or other obstacles. Achievement Awards require submission of a separate application after admission to the program and cover partial or up to full tuition and fees for both years of full-time study.
