Operations Management

Unfortunately we are not accepting applications for Operations Management for fall 2015 admissions.

The field of Operations Management is concerned with the efficient and effective delivery of goods and services to meet consumer needs with respect to product/service characteristics, quality, availability and price. The field has diversified dramatically and become much more interdisciplinary over the past two decades. In parallel with this trend, Operations Management faculty at Haas are undertaking research on a broad spectrum of topics from supply chain management, health care, new product innovation, environmental supply management, and topics at the interface between operations management and other fields such as marketing, finance, and accounting.

Program Overview

The Operations Management curriculum at Haas is a rigorous program that includes foundational courses on operations research, economics, and statistics combined with subject-area courses and doctoral seminars on an array of operations management topics.

Owing to Berkeley's proximity to hundreds of leading-edge firms in a wide variety of industries, students also will have convenient access to real-world operations management problems that can provide the impetus for meaningful doctoral research.
