The Berkeley-Haas PhD doctoral program is a four-year, full-time program resulting in a PhD in Business Administration. The annual admissions cycle attracts over 500 applications for entry into the Fall semester, with 14-16 applicants accepted into the program each year. Qualified students from any discipline may be admitted. Previous graduate work or completion of an MBA is not required.
Applicants are selected on evidence of:
- A high level of scholarly ability, involving both quantitative and qualitative skills
- The motivation to complete a challenging and strenuous academic program
- Career objectives consistent with the PhD degree

Reapplying
There are no special instructions for applicants who have previously applied to the Berkeley-Haas PhD Program. All applicants need to fill out the online application and upload the required documentation.
