Suggested Two Year Plan

Business majors must complete all of the core business courses listed below and some upper division elective courses for a total of at least 32 units. Please remember that:

Junior Year

The first year of the two year Haas Undergraduate Program introduces students to some of the core business fundamentals, while they continue to complete some of their remaining UC Berkeley requirements. Some of the courses below are offered in the Summer.

Core Course Substitutions

The following UC Berkeley courses may be used to fulfill the corresponding core business requirement. However, units earned for these approved substitutions are non-business upper division units and students must take additional business electives towards the required 32 upper division business units.

Econ 100A or Econ 101A can be used in place of UGBA 101A. Our understanding is that the Economics Department will use UGBA 101A in place of Econ 100A or Econ 101A for both Economics majors and those students pursuing Simultaneous Degrees in Business and Economics. However, students should double check with the Economics Advisor.

Econ 100B or Econ 101B can be used in place of UGBA 101B. Our understanding is that the Economics Department will use UGBA 101B in place of Econ 100B or Econ 101B for both Economics majors and those students pursuing Simultaneous Degrees in Business and Economics. However, students should double check with the Economics Advisor.

IAS 106 can be used in place of UGBA 101A.

IAS 107 can be used in place of UGBA 101B.
