Biobusiness Student Clubs
The Berkeley BioBusiness Association (B3A) was the largest student club affiliated with biobusiness at the Haas School. The club served as a forum for Berkeley MBA students to interact with business professionals in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices, and diagnostics industries. The primary objective of B3A was to help students learn about and explore careers in these industries. The club achieved its objectives by creating a network of students and professionals in the world of biobusiness. The network included members from:
- the Haas School of Business
- the School of Public Health
- the greater UC Berkeley community
- biotechnology, medical, and public health schools around the Bay Area
- biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic industry experts
- entrepreneurs
- venture capitalists
- other associations and business schools
In 2007, B3A merged with the Healthcare@Haas (H@H) club to create a larger, more effective student club that portrays a holistic view of the many different players in the health industry. The new club, the Haas Healthcare and BioBusiness Club (H2B2) is expected to better provide students with a working knowledge of biobusiness and how it relates to the bigger healthcare picture.
Students may also find it useful to participate in clubs and/or programs that overlap with the biobusiness sector:
- Marketing Club
- Consulting Club
- Nanotech Club
- Bridging the Divide Fellowship
- University of California BioFellowship Program
