NEW GRADS - MBA Graduation Information
Following is a "to do" list for for May 2007 MBA graduates. We have tried to give you all the info you will need for an easy transition out of Haas.
Commencement Ceremony and Reception
The Commencement ceremony will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 20, at the Greek Theatre, rain or shine. Full details.
You may bring as many guests as you like to the ceremony.
A Commencement Reception will follow the ceremony. It will take place in the Haas courtyard.. Each graduate receives two complimentary tickets for the reception (you get into the reception free of charge with your cap and gown). You may also purchase as many extra reception tickets as you need for $5 each. These will be available from the MBA Program Office beginning May 9th.
Final Grades, Transcripts and Diplomas
Final grades are available on BearFacts 24 hours after faculty submit them via the campus e-Grading system, which will be active on May 8.
Please see the transcript web page for details on how to order an official transcript from the Registrars office in Sproul Hall, or call them at (510) 642-4721.
Your diploma will not be available until late September or early October. You may pick it up in person at Sproul Hall (if you will still be living in the area then, and can come to campus during work hours), or have it mailed to you for a modest fee. See the diploma web download for the form you need to submit in order to have your diploma mailed to you.
Job Reporting
Reporting your job information is extremely important for future Business School ratings. If you've accepted an offer, please report the details via the Career Net reporting web page. If you do not have a job, please let the Career Center know that you are still looking. If you are postponing the job search, they need to know that too, so they can exclude you when calculating the percentage of students who have been placed. Just email Sheri Lockshin.
Haas Alumni Network
As a recent graduate, you have access to endless networking opportunities through the Haas Alumni Network and their online community, Haas@cal. The online community is a FREE, password-protected comprehensive package of web-based services available only to Haas alumni and students. Tapping into this resource is one of the best ways to continue a lifelong relationship with the Haas School.
