2009 Campaign Goals and Objectives

 

The goal for the FY 09 Annual Fund is to raise $3 million dollars from 4,750 donors, achieving 5% total alumni participation.

First, we plan to convert all campaign pledges secured during the student LLC and FTB campaigns into fulfilled gifts as these students join our alumni ranks and to increase student participation in the 2008-09 campaigns.

We also intend to fulfill the Annual Fund component goals of the 10-10-20 Campaign:

• 10 million in new endowments each year (Major Gifts)
• 10% participation of undergraduate alumni in annual giving each year
• 20% participation of graduate alumni in annual giving each year
These 10-10-20 goals entail gifts from 2,864 graduate-degree alumni and 1,696 undergraduate alumni in 2009.

A larger endowment and increased alumni giving will support Haas undergraduate and graduate students through new scholarships, enable the hiring of more world-class faculty, bring new technologies to the classroom, and allow Haas to invest in communication tools and other services to alumni. Your support will ensure excellence and build upon the global reputation of the school.



The Campaign for Haas

Part of a major campus-wide UC Berkeley capital campaign, The Campaign for Haas is a platform for further solidifying the Haas School as one of the best business schools in the world.

This capital campaign heightens our need for strong Annual Fund support from alumni, as the ongoing need for discretionary funds does not diminish during a capital campaign.

Priorities for The Campaign for Haas include:

• Building endowment for faculty support—to attract and retain the world’s very best faculty.
• Facilities—to support recent growth in our six degree programs and provide even better learning experiences for Haas students.
