Jan works out of McKinsey & Company’s Berlin office, serving clients in Germany and all over central Europe. His industry focus is in the Technology Sector and he focuses on Strategy and Innovation engagements. His passion for Strategy and Innovation topics existed before he came to Berkeley-Haas, but was intensified during his MBA. He is passionate about improving the connection between the school (in particular current students) and the Alumni in Europe. He served as Co-President of the European Business Club during his time at the school.

Jan already worked for McKinsey prior to coming to Berkeley-Haas. Before that he studied Physics at the Technical University of Berlin, from which he graduated with a Diploma in 2007. His passion for Business topics and Innovation goes back to the late 1990s, when he founded an IT/internet start-up.

Jan lives in Berlin with his wife and his daughter. He enjoys discovering the city’s farmer’s markets on weekends and to cooking with his family afterwards using fresh ingredients. Jan is an avid hiker and skier and a regular guest in the Austrian Alps during summer and winter times.
