As Country Manager of IDC Southern Cone, Freddy Amprimo directs IDC (www.idc.com) operations in Argentina, Chile and Peru, being responsible for conducting the research, consulting, conferences and Go-To-Market services businesses in the region.

Freddy continuously delivers, as keynote speaker, conferences to large business audiences on IT and management topics in the Southern Cone and other Latin American countries. Previously, he was the Consulting Director for IDC Southern Cone, as well as the Research and Consulting Manager for IDC Peru.

Prior to joining IDC, Freddy worked for Atlas Mobile, an early-stage Silicon Valley wireless startup, developing its business and operating plan as well as assisting the company in all aspects of its marketing and business development activities. He also worked in San Jose, California, for Sun Microsystems’ competitive intelligence division researching the software industry and conducting competitive and industry analysis.

Freddy has lived and worked in several countries in Latin America, as well as in the U.S. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S. in Systems Engineering from University of Lima. Freddy also worked recently as part-time professor in Strategic Management at University of Lima’s MBA IT program. He is fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker.
