On November 3, Berkeley Haas celebrated its 16th Annual Haas Gala in San Francisco. The evening honored notable alums, Monica Stevens, FTMBA 96, who received the school’s highest alumni service award for founding and leading the Alumni Diversity Council; Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke, FTMBA 96, the 2017 Leading Through Innovation Award winner; and knowledge management pioneer Dr. Ikujiro Nonaka, FTMBA 68 & PhD 72, who was given the Lifetime Achievement Award. Another highlight of the evening was recognizing Dean Lyons, BS 82, at his final gala as dean. Rich is capping off his many contributions to Haas over the years with the launch of the Dean Lyons Faculty Leadership Fund. This fund will position the next dean for success by providing him or her much-needed resources to support faculty research and retention, while at the same time keeping our faculty quality at best-in-class levels. The fund is off to a strong start, with $1.1 million already raised from Haas community members who are going beyond themselves, again.
Show your school pride and tell your community what you've been up to. You'll be strengthening the Berkeley Haas Alumni Network in the process. Plus, you never know what connections your update could spark. The deadline for the spring issue is Thursday, January 11, 2018.
