Harnessing the Wisdom of the Crowd to Forecast

Berkeley Haas management professor Don Moore and a team of researchers found a new way to improve the outcome of predicting geopolitical events by training ordinary people to make more confident and accurate predictions.

Financial Aid Information (FTMBA 2003-2017):

The Haas Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) is designed to provide financial support to recent graduates of the Full-time MBA program employed in the public or nonprofit sectors where salaries are typically lower than in the private sector. Graduates who have accumulated significant debt for their education may feel constrained in their choice of employment by the need to repay that debt. The Haas LRAP provides financial support to facilitate these employment decisions.

We are excited to share the Haas LRAP policy changes that will take effect this cycle:

  • Income Qualification: 100% reimbursement of minimum monthly payments for those with income of up to $95,000 (previously $80k). Those with higher incomes are encouraged to apply, as we may be able to provide prorated assistance depending on fund availability.

  • Eligible Loans: Students not enrolled in a standard repayment plan of ten years or more are encouraged to apply, as we may be able to provide prorated assistance again depending on fund availability.

  • Adjustments to Income: $6,000/dependent child (previously $6,000 for one dependent and $4,000 for each additional).

  • Length of Participation: Alumni can participate in the program anytime while in loan repayment status (previously within 15 years of graduation).

The Haas LRAP application is now available for the Summer review cycle (covers payments made January - June 2017). The deadline for this cycle is July 15, 2017.
