Lester Center Honors Biotech Leader Moshe Alafi with Lifetime Achievement Award
Biotech pioneer and Berkeley alumnus Moshe Alafi, BA 51 (Biology), MA 58 (Physiology), received the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship's 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award at a gala dinner event March 20. The award recognizes entrepreneurial excellence at the highest level.

Father of Carbon Trading to Speak on "Good Derivatives," April 12
Richard Sandor, who has been at the epicenter of environmental and financial markets for more than four decades, will speak on his new book, Good Derivatives, at the Haas School.

PhD Candidate Matteo Maggiori Chosen for Prestigious European Academic Tour

LA Chapter to Host Real Estate Event with Edelstein
Professor Robert Edelstein, Co-Chair of Haas' Fisher Center, will deliver opening remarks at Los Angeles Haas Alumni Chapter's 'Real Estate 2012' event on April 17. Along with a distinguished panel of industry professionals, he will discuss the state of the real estate market, the near-term outlook on the economy, and underlying trends that will affect real estate investors, owners, and tenants.
