Professional Affinity Groups for Haas Alumni
You asked for it!  Over the years, many alumni have requested an expanded network of industry-focused clubs or chapters to share professional interests and best practices, discuss trends, and meet one another.  An alumni task force is evaluating how best to connect far-flung alumni and the methods that will effectively support and govern these new groups.  Nearly 10,000 alumni participated in a recent survey; now recommendations about technology, governance, and outreach will be addressed.
Your participation in the task force would be valued.  For more info, please contact Leslie Kanberg, Director of Alumni Relations.

Corporate Directors Enterprise 2008:
Effective Corporate Governance

The UC Berkeley Corporate Directors Enterprise offers Directors and potential Directors of public, private and non-profit boards the opportunity to update their skills and knowledge. In a post-Sarbanes-Oxley environment, where increased visibility and shareholder activism prevail, it is vital that those who serve on boards reflect “best practices” knowledge to maximize their organization’s performance and to protect themselves and their organization from liabilities and lawsuits.

Our ISS accredited program brings together faculty from the Haas School and the Boalt School of Law; prominent Directors and Chief Executives of major corporations; and distinguished partners of accounting and corporate governance firms. MBA alumni with senior executive background are encouraged to apply.
