Haas Innovation Expert Offers Insights to Alumni
Earlier this month, there was a fireside chat between Haas lecturer, author, and entrepreneur Steve Blank and Eric Keller, MBA 77, the COO of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Blank, who pioneered the Lean LaunchPad methodology at Haas, stressed to alumni the need to integrate innovation into corporate structures and to establish processes for hypothesis testing in the corporate (as well as startup) world. The annual Senior Gift Campaign set new records this year in overall participation as well as involvement among juniors, helping to raise a total of $32,194 for Haas. Graduating MBA students have raised more than $100,000 as part of the 2013 graduating gift campaigns, sparked by a cohort competition and events around the Bay.

Facebook Chief Information Officer Tim Campos, BCEMBA 11, received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Bay Area CIO Awards sponsored by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times. Libby Leffler, BS 06 (left), who leads a division of partnerships at Facebook with an emphasis on causes, nonprofits, advocacy groups, and public figures, was recognized by Business Insider as one of 30 most important women under 30 in technology.
