Former Fed Governor and Berkeley Real Estate Professor Sherman Maisel Passes Away
Sherman J. Maisel, former governor of the Federal Reserve and professor emeritus of the Haas School, died from respiratory failure on Sept. 29 in San Francisco. He was 92. Maisel was known, among other things, for his role in developing the modern mortgage market for housing and policy procedures of the Federal Reserve. Read more
