Alumni & Students Match Up Online For Student Projects
Helping match students with
projects is easy, and the process can be initiated online.
As most alumni fondly remember, many Haas courses have
a project requirement. Typically these projects are tackled in teams of
three-to-five students and consume from 75 to hundreds of hours, depending upon
the nature of the project, the size of the team, and the significance of the
project in the course grading structure.
Now alumni and organizations can
go directly to the School's website to list their projects. Students then review
the listings to choose a project to volunteer their classroom knowledge and
skills.
"To provide our students with good options, we're looking for
projects in all areas of business and management - finance, management,
marketing, operations, strategy, etc., - and in all types of organizations -
large corporations, small businesses, new ventures, nonprofit organizations,
etc.," said Dan Sullivan, MBA Program Office.
Sullivan noted that the site
and its projects are available to students in all degree programs. Students can
search - and organizations can enter - projects by industry, project area, and
geographic preference.
To
list a project for student consideration, go to their website.
