What is CalNet?

      • CalNet is a login system that allows alumni to use a single login ID for Haas@Cal and a variety of new online services being developed.
      • If you have logged in to Haas@Cal since September 2008, then you have a CalNet ID.
      • Do NOT try to create a new CalNet ID if you already have one -- or the earth may stop spinning. (You'll get locked out of the system until we can manually let you in.)
      • Forget your CalNet ID or passphrase?  Please use the links in the left column.

Apply for a CalNet ID ... if you do NOT already have one.
Note: You will be asked for your PIN. That's the number above the mailing label on anything the Haas School has mailed you, such as the CalBusiness magazine.

Email Lists

During the remainder of the Haas@Cal transition, the old lists will be transferred to a new system. You can still send and receive email to and from the lists.  But, you cannot access the lists via the web to change your list preferences, and new members cannot join the lists until mid-summer. If you wish to opt out of receiving email of receiving emails from any list, simply click the opt-out link at the bottom of any email you receive from that list.

Email Forwarding - Enter New Haas@Cal, then click 'Email Forwarding'

      • Your email forwarding account was not affected by the Haas@Cal transition.
      • This email service has not, and will not, be disrupted by any of the Haas@Cal changes.
      • Your address will not change when you create a CalNet login ID.
      • You can now change your 'name' in your address (name@mba.berkeley.edu or name@haasalum.berkeley.edu)

Career Networking and Job Search - Enter New Haas@Cal, then click 'Jobs.'

There are many new career networking options in the new Haas@Cal, including:

      • Job Seekers Group – a more frequent, archived, and online version of our AlumniJobs Newsletter. Join this group to get updates on programs, career tips, and links to recorded workshops. To join the group, login to Haas@Cal, click "Groups," then "Find Groups," then keyword search for "job seekers."

      • Job board – Jobs are automatically parsed into functions, locations, companies, and other categories under the Browse Jobs section of the Careers tab. You can also upload your resume and apply to jobs without leaving the Haas@Cal system.

      • Company Match – Let Haas@Cal match your profile with companies hiring people like you. See “Companies Hiring People Like Me” box in the left column under the Careers tab.

      • Hire Haas – Strengthen your Haas Alumni Network by posting jobs under the Careers tab. Also, note that fellow Haasies will find you and your open role most easily if your profile is updated.

      • Networking – Join or establish a new Group targeting your career goal. Link to and contact alumni conveniently. Also, choose to offer or get advice in the left column box at Home > My Profile.  Then when conducting a search from the "more search options" link on any page, include the "People who can offer..." criteria for your search results.
