Abby Scott

Abby Scott brings rich experience in career management, executive education, online initiatives and corporate relations to her role as Assistant Dean of Career Management and Corporate Partnerships. She has been successful in building strong teams, prioritizing the student experience, and developing corporate relationships throughout her many years at Berkeley Haas. Abby spent first eleven years in the MBA Career Management Group Under Abby's leadership, the group was ranked 4th nationally by Business Week in 2010 on the metric of recruiter satisfaction with the career center.

Before joining Berkeley Haas, she spent ten years in the technology industry. She has experience in marketing, product management and sales positions for Intel, Electronic Arts, and (acquired by the Princeton Review). Abby was a past recipient of the Haas Outstanding Staff award, a Berkeley Excellence in Management award, and the Chancellor's Outstanding Staff award. Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. She currently serves on the advisory council for the Forte foundation, a non-profit organization that launches women into fulfilling, significant careers in business.

John builds strategic partnerships with some of the top companies in the Bay Area and works to position Haas and its students for success. He has eighteen years of experience creating Strategic Corporate Partnerships in the Higher Ed, Pro and Collegiate Sports, Live Music and Fine Arts industries. His priority is to deepen and strengthen the relationship between corporations and Haas. John also currently teaches a Master's Level course at the University of San Francisco

Employer Relations Team

Our Relationship Managers have strong relationships with companies in specific industry groups. They partner with employers to set their recruiting strategy at Haas. Relationship Managers also assist students in refining their career search once they have developed a plan with a Career Advisor.

Jenn Bridge, Senior Director of Employer Engagement & Operations

In her role as the Senior Director of Employer Engagement and Operations, Jenn oversees the employer relations, industry readiness, business development, and operations teams including the technology, data, marketing and communications strategies for the MBA Career Management group. Over her nine years at Haas as a Relationship Manager then Director of Recruiting, she partnered with employers to develop personalized branding strategies and advised students on recruiting strategies for a handful of industries including consulting, financial services, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, retail, design strategy and real estate.

Jenn joined Haas after spending thirteen years in the retail and consulting industries. As the San Francisco based MBA recruiting manager for Strategy&, she was responsible for all aspects of recruiting MBA candidates, including developing on-campus brand building strategies and marketing programs that supported their recruiting efforts across multiple top MBA schools. Jenn also spent eleven years at Gap Inc. where she held various positions for the Gap, Banana Republic and International divisions. Jenn holds a BA in technical writing and marketing from San Francisco State University.

Outside of Haas, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, pursuing her interest in interior architecture and design and volunteering at her daughter's school.

He earned his bachelors degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business from UC Berkeley. After graduating from Cal, Roland worked for Hewlett-Packard in various regions (U.S./Japan/Asia Pacific), product divisions (software/hardware), and functions which included Pre-sales, Marketing (Product Management, Business Development, Strategic Alliance), and Consulting.

Prior to joining Haas CMG, Roland was the West Coast Business Development Director and the Executive Director for Boston University Questrom School of Business Feld Career Center for 4 years. With these two roles at Boston University, he successfully developed and managed relations with West Coast employers and alumni to enable students (MBA, undergrads), professors, and alumni to connect with companies on the West Coast/Asia Pacific. He also remotely managed the employer relations, marketing and operations team at Boston University Questrom School of Business Career Center.

With Roland's global experience in the technology industry and his recent roles with a University employer relations/career center team, he brings this combined experience and passion to help execute the career search plans of students/alumni and to develop strong and deep company relations with UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Betsy Ream, Technology & Energy/Cleantech

Betsy Worth

Betsy works with both employers and students in the areas of energy/cleantech, startups and technology online commerce. With companies both large and small, Bay Area local and global, she looks to build strategic partnerships with employers. She enjoys helping a company craft a Haas-specific recruiting strategy to connect with just the right group of students for their roles and cultural fit. Given the great diversity in career paths that Haas student pursue, particularly in the technology, startups and cleantech spaces, Betsy is committed to helping students navigate their career searches, with a particular emphasis on the network-driven, off-campus job search.

Betsy holds a BA in History from UCLA. Prior to Haas, she worked in MBA recruiting at Booz Allen Hamilton in New York. A proud east bay native, Betsy grew up just a few miles down the road from Berkeley and enjoys helping her young son explore this fantastic area.

Bill is Relationship Manager for Financial Services recruiting. He is also a Finance Faculty member, and has a broader role in developing the Finance program at Berkeley Haas and representing it from Admissions through Alumni Relations. Prior to Haas, Bill worked at JPMorgan and predecessors in New York and then San Francisco for 20 years, with experience in leveraged finance, industry coverage groups, and as head of Credit for the West Coast. Bill holds a BA from Colgate in Mathematics and Economics and an MBA from Columbia in Finance and Management.

Christina Meinberg

Christina has 15+ years of experience as a sustainable business consultant, academic administrator/nonprofit leader, business analyst, marketer, and mentor. She has a diverse experience advising executives at organizations such as Earthbound Farm, Tech Resources, Autodesk, Johnson & Johnson, Hitachi, and others. In her time at Berkeley Haas, she has helped hundreds of students build and navigate social impact and public sector job search and placement strategies. When she's not advising students, she strategizes about Haas' social impact career curriculum and fosters collaborative relationships with companies, non-profits, alumni, and peers at other academic institutions. She is a Certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West and has an MBA focused in sustainable enterprise from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she co-founded the Invest for Impact Competition (now in its 12th year).

Prior to coming to Haas, Doug spent 15+ years doing business development in the technology industry. His time in the corporate world has helped him realize the importance of networking and building long term and meaningful relationships. He really enjoys collaborating with companies to maximize their recruiting efforts as well as helping students get started on their career path. In addition to being a Relationship Manager, Doug is also a member of the Business Development team that focuses on expanding the number of companies in the CMG portfolio. Doug holds a degree from CSU, Chico and lives in Moraga.

Chris serves both MBA students and employers in the Consulting, Healthcare and Design Consulting industries at the Haas School of Business. He has spent 9 years in higher education at three UC campuses advising, educating, and developing relationships with employers and delivering career workshops to graduate and undergraduate students. He currently provides in depth industry knowledge and recruiting strategies for MBA's at Haas.

Chris holds an MA in Career Development from JFK University and has 6 years of B2B sales experience prior to joining Higher Education. He is an energetic, UC Berkeley fanatic, who is committed to the success of students, employers, alumni and the university.

Brooke Green, Employer Relations Project Manager

Brooke Green

Brooke brings a dynamic approach for recruiters and career seekers alike at Haas School of Business. In her role as the Recruiting Project Manager for CMG, Brooke works with both students and recruiters through data and event support, to create engagement opportunities between employers and Haas MBAs and students to find their perfect organizational fit.

Brooke received her B.A. in Spanish Language & Literature and B.A. in Political Theory from The Ohio State University. She later received her M.A. in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey where she began working as an Alumni Relations Specialist connecting students with alumni to further their professional goals and aspirations. When she is not in the office, you can find Brooke scaling the side of a mountain for a glorious summit view.

Hoyt Ng, Sr. Director Career Advising and Programming

Hoyt Ng

As a coach and educator, Hoyt believes the question is the most important tool for the coach and the student. He helps the student discover their own solutions and options to move their way forward. Hoyt has a bias for action and helps people get out of their heads and get real data. In addition, he has extensive international experience having worked closely with people in Asia and Latin America.

Prior to Haas, Hoyt Ng spent 12 years at DreamWorks Animation as Head of Training and Curriculum for the studios - from California to Shanghai to Bangalore. Prior to these roles he has spent a lifetime at the intersection of the arts, technology and people. Before DreamWorks he worked in various roles from product manager and engineer to visual effects artist and game designer in the virtual reality, television, film and video game industry. He has a BS in mechanical and materials engineering from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Cal State. Hoyt takes a practical and science driven approach to education and believes in a student centered focus.

Dorothy Zhuomei is a leadership and career coach specialized in working with high-performing emerging leaders. Since 2011, Dorothy has coached hundreds of MBA students, business professionals and entrepreneurs on leadership, career and personal development. Her clients include emerging leaders and entrepreneurs from Google, Y Combinator and 500 Startups. Dorothy received leadership coaching training and earned her MBA at the Kellogg School of Management. She is further certified as a Professional Integral Coach after a year-long intensive training at New Ventures West.

Prior to becoming a coach, Dorothy worked as a Management Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group's San Francisco Office. She has accumulated business experiences in a broad range of sectors including healthcare, technology, non-profits, venture capital and entrepreneurship. In addition to her MBA from Kellogg, She holds a BA in Biochemistry from Occidental College and a Master in Engineering Management with a focus in Design and Operations from Northwestern University. In her spare time, Dorothy loves taking dance lessons, listening to podcasts on interesting human stories, and exploring the Bay Area restaurant scene with her husband and friends.

Erica Peng, Career Coach

Erica Peng

Erica coaches students to connect with purpose and meaning, and clarify the core skills and commitments needed to create fulfilling and successful careers. Her approach involves cultivating "internal" grounded presence, along with "external" interpersonal skills and competencies. She brings experience and sensibility as an award-winning digital storyteller, and performing singer and dancer, to support students to develop and convey compelling personal leadership stories. Having lived, worked, and traveled extensively in Asia, Latin America and Europe, Erica brings nuanced awareness and skill as she works with people from around the world, across language, culture and other dimensions of difference.

Erica also works with leaders and teams through her own consulting and coaching practice, Deep Stream Leadership, and coaches senior executives at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) Executive Education Advanced Leadership Program. She facilitates and delivers interpersonal development courses at Haas, Stanford GSB, and University of San Francisco School of Law. She has a BA from Stanford, an MA in Organization Development from Sonoma State, and has done embodied leadership development work at Strozzi Institute.

Julia Rosof is a leadership and career coach with over 7 years of experience working with full-time and working professional MBA students. She has extensive knowledge of MBA programs and uses her empathy to take a holistic approach to the MBA student experience. She empowers students to discover insights and solutions and identify and overcome barriers to become self-generative. Julia has held roles in the Evening Weekend MBA, Executive MBA and Full-Time MBA Program Offices at Haas and managed Babson's Fast Track MBA Program in San Francisco. Prior to joining the Career Management Group, she was the Associate Director of Student Experience in the Full-Time MBA Program Office at Haas where she co-led and designed orientation, workshops and other transformational learning experiences and advised and coached MBA student leaders.

Julia has a B.A. in History from UC Berkeley. She is currently pursuing her certification as a Professional Integral Coach at New Ventures West.

Lara Klein is committed to supporting the EWMBA students and all Haas alumni in making their next career move, whether it’s advancing to a higher level role or making a career transition. Prior to joining Haas, Lara spent the past five years coaching the working professional MBA populations at NYU Stern School of Business, helping students and alumni to advance their careers and make transitions in a variety of industries and functions including consulting, finance, marketing, media, entertainment, technology, and healthcare/pharma. Lara spent the first 15+ years of her career in recruiting, career development, and other HR roles across a range industries, including companies such as Sony, International Creative Management, and Sanyo North America (now Panasonic). She has a B.A. in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from San Diego State University. She is a graduate of Accomplishment Coaching, an accredited coaching program in New York.

Laura Snow Benoit brings 10 years of experience in MBA career services and human resources to Haas. Prior to joining the Career Management Group, Laura worked at Mills College and Golden Gate University, where she coached business students and alumni through the job search process and also taught career counseling and development to graduate students. Laura built expertise in recruitment and new employee onboarding while working in human resources in the nonprofit sector. Laura is passionate about professional growth and community development, she often volunteers her time as a Career Coach and has served in board leadership roles at several non-profit organizations. Outside of work, she loves baking sweet treats and working towards her goal of traveling to all 50 states.

Laura earned a master of arts degree in counseling and organizational psychology from Adler University and a bachelor of arts in psychology from Colorado College. She is a qualified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois.

Linda Yach serves the EWMBA students and Haas alumni population, helping them identify their sweet spot and shift into jobs or careers that energize them as well as advising them in a variety of areas including resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation. She has consulted with Lee Hecht Harrison, an international outplacement company that assists employees who have been displaced as a result of downsizing - delivering career transition services through one-on-one coaching and group workshops - to individuals in the technology, manufacturing, biotech, and financial services industries. Once a month, she facilitates a Speaking Circle®, a small-group public speaking modality that transforms the way people communicate by focusing on the connection between speaker and listeners.

Linda has firsthand experience in career transition, having explored a number of careers herself, starting out as a public school bilingual educator, a web content master at InfoWorld, and a paralegal in several law firms and in Nestl&eac-=ute; USA's legal department.

She holds a B.A. in Spanish from The University of St. Thomas and spent a year living and working in Spain following graduation. In 2009, she received her coaching certification from The Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, and has been working with individuals to discover their "what's next" ever since.

He helps them gain clarity about objectives as well as identify the competencies they need to flourish in their professional lives. Luke graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Davis with a BA in international relations. He received his Coaching Certification from New Ventures West in San Francisco. In his former life, Luke served as a partner in a boutique search firm and developed learning curricula for emerging technology firms. He is the author of The Book of Goals: Achievements, Plans, and Dreams of a Lifetime which has sold 100,000+ copies. Luke swims and gardens, but not at the same time.

With a background in law, marketing and admissions, Mark joined Haas in 2001 after working for the MBA program at the University of Maryland. Following judicial clerkships in Alaska and attorney positions in Washington, D.C., he entered the business world by joining the Princeton Review, where he taught students, trained instructors, designed courses and served in various corporate roles including Special Project Manager and Director of Marketing. As an MBA Career Advisor, Mark works with all students but has a particular focus in financial services.

Away from Haas, Mark is active with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training triathlon program. He received a BS in economics and a BA in international relations from UC Davis and a JD from the American University's Washington College of Law.

Natalie Brain is leadership development facilitator and executive coach. She co-delivers the award-winning leadership training at one of Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For 2018" and facilitated a nine month women's leadership program at a global wine company. She was a full-time lecturer in applied positive psychology at the University of Melbourne in Australia and has more than a decade of cross-functional management experience at world class organizations. She has worked/lived on six continents and traveled to 40+ countries.

Natalie has an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, master's degree in applied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and undergraduate degree in economics and business from UCLA. She is also a CPA.

Prior, he was an early member of the investment team managing the $7 billion endowment of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and was an analyst from 2005 to 2009 at a long/short hedge fund. Bryan graduated from Yale University and the University of California Berkeley, Haas School of Business.

By combining his experience working with a variety of communities as an educator and talent development specialist, he specializes in helping students develop the right stories for the right audience.

As a recent Haas graduate, Chen (MBA '18) is also available to talk about the transition to/from and experience during business school. Although a firm believer that there is no "right way to do business school," he can speak firsthand to the usefulness of having someone to talk through the myriad of choices MBA candidates face each day.

Chen currently works at Credit Karma leading their manager development strategy and initiatives. In addition to his MBA, he has a M.Ed. from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. Psychology & B.A. Biology from Rutgers University. Outside of his day-job, Chen coaches early- and mid-career professionals as well as senior leaders in both for- and non-profit organizations.

Terry Karp coaches business professionals to achieve their career potential. Previously, she started up the high tech division of an executive recruiting firm and managed the operation for 10 years. Currently, Terry is a founding principal of the Bay Area Career Center in San Francisco and provides career counseling/coaching services to assist professionals with all phases of career transition and professional development. Terry has expertise with:

Kay Dawson, Director of Operations, Technology & Data

Kay joins the Haas CMG having honed her MBA career management skills at HEC Paris and Chicago Booth. She has been a career coach, business developer, relationship manager and an MBA recruiter, so brings this comprehensive knowledge of the diverse needs of the CMG stakeholders to the Operations Team. She studied languages at the University of Cambridge and worked as a headhunter before spending 12 years with GE managing recruitment and operations for undergraduate and MBA leadership programs. Kay is a British citizen who came to the US 3 years ago and is doing her best to see as much of the country as possible whilst amassing half marathon finisher medals.

Born and raised in the Boston area, Christine has been a resident of Berkeley for the past 20 years. Before joining Haas, Christine worked in the retail, banking and specialty food industries with positions in sales, marketing, production and operations. She graduated from California State University in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Christine manages and supports our CMG operations for the MBA programs.

Marion joins Haas CMG as Senior Program Manager to optimize resources and guide career program planning with a particular emphasis on international students and industry readiness.

Marion holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Prior to Haas she worked in corporate finance for luxury and retail companies in France and California. Born and raised in New Caledonia, she has lived on four continents and is always keen on discovering new cultures. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, baking French desserts and making jewelry.

Marcia comes to CMG from her previous role working for the Master of Financial Engineering here at Berkeley Haas. Prior to joining Haas, Marcia worked in a very unique new industry where she led the marketing strategy for B2B partners in the sustainability sector. As a Program Manager, Marcia supports CMG with our communication efforts and manages the delivery of workshops, events and support services aligned with the Full-Time MBA program.

Outside of Haas, Marcia has been working in property management in the private sector for the last ten years. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in Communications Studies. Born and raised in Brazil, Marcia loves to meet new people from different backgrounds and cultures. Away from work, she cherishes the time she has to spend with her husband and son in addition to her extended family in get-togethers.

Kun is passionate in learning and career development. In her role as the Program Manager for EWMBA students, EMBA students and alumni at Career Management Group (CMG), she leads program planning processes and manages program deliveries; designs communication wireframes and generates contents; solves CMG technical system problems and improves processes; conducts needs assessments and collaborates with department partners in improving future career program offerings.

Kun received her M.S. in Environmental Microbiology from UC Davis and worked at USDA Agriculture Research Services for 4 years. Before joining CMG , she was part of the Learning & Development team in Division of Students Affairs at Cal which worked on organizational culture and served 3,000+ employees in career & professional development, onboarding, and recognition.

As the Recruiting Events and Programs Manager, Amanda works with both of our key stakeholder groups, students and recruiters, to create opportunities for employers to engage with Haas MBAs and students to find their next great opportunity.

Amanda is a seventh generation Californian and graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Psychology. Prior to joining CMG, Amanda planned non-profit events ranging from nation-wide retreats and museum exhibition openings to global conferences and fundraising galas. As a Bay Area resident for the last nine years, Amanda can be found venue hopping across the bay to catch her favorite live bands.

Eloisa has years of experience working in higher education. She started her career at the University of Guam where she served in Human Resources, with a main focus in recruitment. She then worked for the University of Miami where she continued her career in Human Resources.

Prior to joining Haas CMG, Eloisa joined Chaminade University of Honolulu's Hogan Entrepreneurial Program and School of Business where she worked with student entrepreneurs and has done a variety of event planning for both divisions which include annual seminars for nonprofit organizations.

Eloisa holds a BBA degree from the University of Guam with a concentration in Human Resources Management, and an MBA degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu.

Her main role at Haas CMG is to provide a variety of career support to the student population served by Haas CMG.

Industry Specialists are advisors who have had successful careers in the industry/role that they provide guidance on. They share their knowledge through 1:1 and small group advising sessions, workshops and panels. Additionally, they provide mock interviews, review industry specific resumes and cover letters and may offer networking suggestions and additional target companies to consider. Marguerite is a successful finance, strategy, and operations professional with over 10 years of combined experience and training in business development, financial analysis, accounting, valuation, and strategy and operations.

Her roles include senior analyst at Goldman Sachs supporting the America's Special Situations desk,controlling over a $2 billion portfolio of private equity, alternative energy, and commercial real estate investments; the Clinton Foundation supporting them on their Economic Opportunity Initiative working with small business owners to provide a comprehensive assessment of their company and advise on opportunities for operational improvement and business growth; and Deloitte Consulting LLC, as a manager in the Mergers and Acquisitions Strategy and Operations consulting practice, focused on advising fortune 500 companies through capability assessments, business operations visioning and process redesign, brand expansion strategy, pre-deal strategy, target screening, deal structuring, duediligence, valuation, integration strategy, day one readiness, and post-merger integration.

Currently, Marguerite is the CEO and founder of Tulle la la, a wedding tech incubator company of LaunchPad2x, disrupting the wedding planning industry by combining traditional project management with consumer retail to make the wedding planning process less stressful and more manageable. Tulle la la's subscription based model provides brides with monthly wedding journey tulle boxes to guide them through their wedding planning journey, giving brides what they need, when they need it. Additionally, Marguerite is the founder of Girls in the Boardroom, a platform designed to prepare the pipeline of female college students for careers in management consulting and finance, as well as to prepare females in junior level corporate roles for management positions. Marguerite continues to advise startups and small to mid-size businesses in business development, strategic and operational improvement opportunities.

Peter was born in Russia, raised in India and has been living in the U.S. since 2014. Peter graduated from Haas School of Business in 2016 and has more than seven years of experience. Peter spent three years in management consulting (L.E.K. Consulting and McKinsey) and two years in online retail as a deputy COO and then as a Managing Director at Lamoda.Ru, a Russian rapidly growing startup ($300M in sales in 2014, when Peter left it to join his MBA at Haas). It is a great honor and pleasure for Peter to pay back to Haas and help Haasies with their recruitment.

Wendy Pratt has over 12 years of experience successfully building brands and launching new products for both large global businesses and smaller companies in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) world.

After graduation from Claremont McKenna College (BA in Economics), Wendy began her career in management consulting with Deloitte.

Subsequently, Wendy completed her Masters of Business Administration from The Anderson School at UCLA. Then, she transitioned to Brand Management gaining experience as a summer intern at Procter & Gamble and working for Nestlé USA for over six years. She managed the largest brand in the Petcare Division, worked in New Ventures for the Beverage Division and worked on the integration of Nestlé and PurinaPetcare.

After Nestlé, Wendy worked for Roll Global for six years launching new products and managing businesses in the Paramount Farms Division. Specifically, she led the introduction of two new snack lines, developed two consumer websites and launched the company's first B2B website.

Bill is Relationship Manager for Financial Services recruiting. He is also a Finance Faculty member, and has a broader role in developing the Finance program at Berkeley Haas and representing it from Admissions through Alumni Relations. Prior to Haas, Bill worked at JPMorgan and predecessors in New York and then San Francisco for 20 years, with experience in leveraged finance, industry coverage groups, and as head of Credit for the West Coast. Bill holds a BA from Colgate in Mathematics and Economics and an MBA from Columbia in Finance and Management.

Her healthcare experience spans from startup companies to multinationals, most industry sectors (biotech, pharma, diagnostics, digital health, consulting), commercial functions (marketing, sales, market access, operations), and development stages (clinical development, launch, on market). She's led sales, marketing, reimbursement, consulting and support teams, in addition to creating the needed infrastructure for success, e.g., forecasts and compensation plans, access programs, and CRM implementation. Anita Kishore

Anita Kishore has advised hundreds of MBA students to find their dream jobs. She specializes in healthcare, consulting, and nonprofit careers and works closely with dual degree business/MPH/STEM students and career switchers.

Anita coaches MBA students with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), serving high-potential underrepresented minorities. Prior to her career as a coach, Anita worked in positions of increasing seniority in the healthcare industry. Anita followed her passion to increase access to affordable medicines for patients around the world by serving clients in both the private and public sectors. Anita's interest in healthcare led her to work at Bain & Company, Sandoz (a Division of Novartis), and Pfizer, in strategy and operations in the US and internationally. Anita's work in nonprofit access to health includes Doctors Without Borders and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, leading global vaccines supply chain logistics. She has recently accepted a position to develop the Life Sciences talent pipeline in New York City.

Anita holds a BS in chemistry from Yale University, an MSc (with Honors) in chemistry from the University of Melbourne (supported by a Rotary scholarship), PhD in chemistry from the University of Georgia, and an MPA from the Robert Wagner School of Public Service at New York University.

Abigail Franklin, Investment Banking & Real Estate

Abby advises finance and real estate students at Haas. Prior to joining Haas in 2011, she worked as a Healthcare Investment Banker for 13 years in both New York and San Francisco primarily at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. She was responsible for structuring and underwriting multi-million dollar bond financings for West Coast healthcare systems in addition to working on healthcare mergers and acquisitions. Abby serves as a trustee for the Berkeley Public Library and served as a board member of Prospect Sierra School, an independent K-8 school in El Cerrito, from 2011 to 2014. Abby and her family reside in Berkeley.

Jonathan (Harvard MBA '10, Carnegie Mellon '05) helps students and alumni figure out the best career paths for them and think through the strategy and tactics to land the right job.

He's knowledgeable about conducting networked job searches, career changes, and can offer guidance on best practices for both small and large technology companies. Having started, managed, and sold his own business, Jonathan can discuss the pros/cons of entrepreneurship as well as roles in product, marketing, operations, IT, and design.

He currently works as a Senior Technical Product Manager at Amazon in the SF Bay Area, helping design and bring a new innovative product to market. Vince (Cal BSME '07, MSME + Haas MoT '08) is a product leader with technical background. He is an instructor and curriculum designer for product management courses. As a private PM coach, he has helped newly-promoted product executives become effective leaders as well as aspiring product managers land job offers. In addition, he advises and consults various startups around the world.

Vince was most recently the Director of Product Management at General Assembly (GA), where here directed, mentored, and built a team of 16+ Product Managers across a spectrum of initiatives -- from strategy to execution, technical to non-technical products.

Vince previously served as the Senior Product Manager at Storm8 (5 iOS titles, various top-free and top- grossing ranks, 100M+ downloads, $10M+ revenue). Before that, he was an Associate Product Manager and Product Manager at Kabam. He also worked in the consulting, finance, telecom, and automotive industries in various capacities.

Ash has been a Product Manager at Google for 6 years, working on Ads buying tools, Ads relevance and, most recently, Google Cloud. He owns a portfolio of products and worked with products at every stage of the lifecycle (incubation, growth, scaling, and killing products) and both B2C and B2B product areas. Over his tenure, he's conducted 100+ hiring interviews, and has delivered $3B+ of revenue impact. Before Google, Ash was at Bain & Company. Ash was also a software engineer for 7 years, working at Yahoo! and Oracle.

Ash has done 250+ career advising sessions to-date, and can help give general career advice (e.g. what PM roles/careers are like, and what skills are needed), give feedback on your recruiting strategy (e.g. firms to target, resume/cover letter design, tailoring your approach for candidates transitioning from non-PM roles, and activities/work experience to pursue to strengthen your case), and help you decide on offers you receive. He started his career as an engineer and over the years has transitioned into a product management role, using his Haas MBA to drive product success. Having worked in both IC and lead roles, Suvrat provides in depth tech industry knowledge, PM role functional guidance, transition strategies, and mentoring for MBAs at Haas. Max (FTMBA '10) is VP of Product for GoodHire, a leading startup in the pre-employment background screening services space. He oversees the product strategy, development, operations, and growth. Previously, Max managed and launched enterprise and small business software products for HP and Microsoft. Prior to becoming a PM, Max worked as a Management Consultant for Deloitte and received undergraduate degrees from the Wharton School and College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.

Max has been managing and mentoring new and experienced PMs for over five years. He enjoys helping people understand how to be successful in the PM role both within an organization and externally through working with customers to better understand their needs. His experience transitioning from Consulting to Product is particularly helpful for MBA students looking to make a career migration.

Outside of work, Max's passions include international travel, golf, cooking, and home brewing.

Omar Garriott, Product Marketing

Omar (FTMBA '09) is Director of Product Marketing for, where he oversees GTM strategy and execution for Salesforce's products in K-12 education (and formerly the nonprofit sector). Previously, he managed product marketing for LinkedIn's college and LinkedIn for Good teams; led iPad marketing to schools for Apple; and launched Adobe products into the education market. Before his Haas MBA, Omar focused on social marketing inside an agency, led comms and lobbying for a national nonprofit helping low-income students go to college, and taught third grade through Teach for America.

Omar's coaching interests include supporting students with non-traditional or non-technical backgrounds who want to enter tech, LinkedIn coaching, CSR, how marketers can support and inform product development, and listening closely to who you are on your journey to self-actualization.

Omar enjoys hanging out with his precocious Kindergartner, rooting for his UVA Cavaliers basketball team, writing, and politics. He's co-founder of a training business helping job seekers make the most of LinkedIn (free to Haas students!).

Christina has 15+ years of experience as a sustainable business consultant, academic administrator/nonprofit leader, business analyst, marketer, and mentor. She has a diverse experience advising executives at organizations such as Earthbound Farm, Tech Resources, Autodesk, Johnson & Johnson, Hitachi, and others. In her time at Berkeley Haas, she has helped hundreds of students build and navigate social impact and public sector job search and placement strategies. When she's not advising students, she strategizes about Haas' social impact career curriculum and fosters collaborative relationships with companies, non-profits, alumni, and peers at other academic institutions. She is a Certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West and has an MBA focused in sustainable enterprise from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she co-founded the Invest for Impact Competition (now in its 12th year).
