Abby Scott is the Assistant Dean of MBA Career Management Group and Corporate Engagement at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Abby Scott, Assistant Dean, CMG & Corporate Partnerships
Abby Scott brings rich experience in career management, executive education, emerging initiatives and corporate relations to her new role as Assistant Dean of Career Management and Corporate Partnerships. She has been successful in building strong teams and developing corporate relationships throughout her fifteen years at Berkeley-Haas. Abby spent eleven years in the MBA Career Management Group at Haas and for the last six of them, served as the Executive Director. Under Abby's leadership, the group was ranked 4th nationally by Business Week in 2010 on the metric of recruiter satisfaction with the career center.
Abby currently serves as Director of Corporate Relations for Berkeley-Haas. Prior to this role, Abby worked on several emerging initiatives and served as the Director of Custom Programs for Berkeley's Executive Education group where she led the team as interim Assistant Dean during the year prior to becoming a separate 501c3 entity. Before joining Berkeley-Haas, she spent ten years in the technology industry. She has experience in marketing, product management and sales positions for Intel, Electronic Arts, and Embark.com (acquired by the Princeton Review). Abby was a recipient of the Haas Outstanding Staff award, a Berkeley Excellence in Management award, and the Chancellor's Outstanding Staff award in 2010. Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Employer Relations Team
Our Relationship Managers have strong relationships with companies in specific industry groups. They partner with employers to set their recruiting strategy at Haas. Relationship Managers also assist students in refining their career search once they have developed a plan with a Career Advisor.
Jenn Bridge, Senior Director of Employer Engagement & Operations
In her role as the Senior Director of Employer Engagement and Operations, Jenn oversees the employer relations, industry readiness, business development, and operations teams including the technology, data, marketing and communications strategies for the MBA Career Management group. Over her nine years at Haas as a Relationship Manager then Director of Recruiting, she partnered with employers to develop personalized branding strategies and advised students on recruiting strategies for a handful of industries including consulting, financial services, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, retail, design strategy and real estate.
Jenn joined Haas after spending thirteen years in the retail and consulting industries. As the San Francisco based MBA recruiting manager for Strategy&, she was responsible for all aspects of recruiting MBA candidates, including developing on-campus brand building strategies and marketing programs that supported their recruiting efforts across multiple top MBA schools. Jenn also spent eleven years at Gap Inc. where she held various positions for the Gap, Banana Republic and International divisions. Jenn holds a BA in technical writing and marketing from San Francisco State University.
Outside of Haas, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, pursuing her interest in interior architecture and design and volunteering at her daughter's school.
Rich Wong, Technology & Media/Entertainment
After achieving his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Haas, Rich worked as an auditor for a major accounting firm and obtained his California CPA license. He then earned his MBA in finance at UCLA, leading to a 17 year high-tech finance career at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Rich joined Haas in 1999 as one of the inaugural employer relationship managers where he utilizes his educational and professional experience to help students and companies in his sectors (technology, media and entertainment) achieve recruiting success.
Betsy Ream, Technology & Energy/Cleantech
Betsy works with both employers and students in the areas of energy/cleantech, startups and technology online commerce. With companies both large and small, Bay Area local and global, she looks to build strategic partnerships with employers. She enjoys helping a company craft a Haas-specific recruiting strategy to connect with just the right group of students for their roles and cultural fit. Given the great diversity in career paths that Haas student pursue, particularly in the technology, startups and cleantech spaces, Betsy is committed to helping students navigate their career searches, with a particular emphasis on the network-driven, off-campus job search.
Betsy holds a BA in History from UCLA. Prior to Haas, she worked in MBA recruiting at Booz Allen Hamilton in New York. A proud east bay native, Betsy grew up just a few miles down the road from Berkeley and enjoys helping her young son explore this fantastic area.
Doug Massa, CPG, Retail & Real Estate and Entry Level MBA Business Development
Prior to coming to Haas, Doug spent 15+ years doing business development in the technology industry. His time in the corporate world has helped him realize the importance of networking and building long term and meaningful relationships. He really enjoys collaborating with companies to maximize their recruiting efforts as well as helping students get started on their career path. In addition to being a Relationship Manager, Doug is also a member of the Business Development team that focuses on expanding the number of companies in the CMG portfolio. Doug holds a degree from CSU, Chico and lives in Moraga.
Chris Gavin, Consulting, Healthcare, & Design Strategy
Chris serves both MBA students and employers in the Consulting, Healthcare and Design Consulting industries at the Haas School of Business. He has spent 9 years in higher education at three UC campuses advising, educating, and developing relationships with employers and delivering career workshops to graduate and undergraduate students. He currently provides in depth industry knowledge and recruiting strategies for MBA's at Haas.
Chris holds an MA in Career Development from JFK University and has 6 years of B2B sales experience prior to joining Higher Education. He is an energetic, UC Berkeley fanatic, who is committed to the success of students, employers, alumni and the university.
Mary Lynn Blattberg, Experienced Hire Business Development
Mary Lynn brings 20+ of strategy, marketing and business development experience to her Haas business development role supporting working professional MBAs from the Evening & Weekend and Executive MBA programs as well as Haas Alumni. Having been a hiring manager for large established brands (Microsoft, Hearst and Gap, Inc) as well as several start-ups, Mary Lynn understands the rapidly changing employment landscape and is leveraging that knowledge to identify new opportunities and better position Haas experienced-hire talent for continued growth.
Mary Lynn holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from Claremont McKenna College. Along with her husband and two daughters, Mary Lynn is an active philanthropist via National Charity League and a start-up enthusiast who helped develop and chair the Young Entrepreneurs Shop (YES) at her daughters school for the past 7 years.

Hoyt Ng, Sr. Director Career Advising and Programming
As a coach and educator, Hoyt believes the question is the most important tool for the coach and the student. He helps the student discover their own solutions and options to move their way forward. Hoyt has a bias for action and helps people get out of their heads and get real data. In addition, he has extensive international experience having worked closely with people in Asia and Latin America.
Prior to Haas, Hoyt Ng spent 12 years at DreamWorks Animation as Head of Training and Curriculum for the studios - from California to Shanghai to Bangalore. Prior to these roles he has spent a lifetime at the intersection of the arts, technology and people. Before DreamWorks he worked in various roles from product manager and engineer to visual effects artist and game designer in the virtual reality, television, film and video game industry. He has a BS in mechanical and materials engineering from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Cal State. Hoyt takes a practical and science driven approach to education and believes in a student centered focus.
Michael G. Katz, Career Coach
Michael has coached hundreds of business professionals-from mid-career to senior executives on issues such as career development, job search, team dynamics, and presentation skills. For nearly eight years, Michael's client base has included Executive MBAs, Full-Time MBAs, Evening MBAs, and school alumni. In addition to coaching at three Top-20 business schools, he was also Director of the MBA Professional Development Program at MLT (Management Leadership for Tomorrow), America's premier career development organization serving high potential black, Hispanic, and Native American professionals. Michael is also a frequent speaker at the MBA Career Services & Employer Alliance annual conference and has published a book chapter on case interviewing in finance for "Crack the Case System: Complete Case Interview Prep" by David Ohrvall.
Prior to his career as a coach, Michael served institutional clients in the financial services sector. While at First Manhattan Consulting Group, his work covered customer segmentation, pricing, and organizational design for retail brokerage firms. At Kasina, he focused on organizational and task design for the customer service groups of mutual funds. In addition to his consulting experience, Michael has also worked as an Assistant Vice-President of Corporate Planning at Merrill Lynch & Co.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Information Systems from the NYU Stern School of Business and a Master of Business Studies in Organization & Management from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He also completed the Professional Coaching Course offered through New Ventures West.
Lesah Beckhusen, Career Coach
Lesah has more than twenty years of deep and broad career counseling experience as an independent career consultant, trainer, product developer and small business owner. Lesah has been at the Haas School for over twelve years as a career advisor and program manager. She has developed and managed many programs including the Career Coaches and Super Saturday Interview Program and most recently the new Haas Virtual Interview Coaching Program. In 1987 Lesah launched SkillScan, a publishing business that develops and markets innovative skills assessment tools to universities and colleges, adult career centers, career counselors and corporations. SkillScan is used by thousands of college and universities throughout the U.S.
Lesah holds an MS degree in Counseling and a BA degree in Psychology from San Diego State University. She is a Certified Toastmaster and travels throughout the U.S. conducting trainings on SkillScan products and is a regular presenter at the International Career Development Conference.
Mark Friedfeld, Career Coach
With a background in law, marketing and admissions, Mark joined Haas in 2001 after working for the MBA program at the University of Maryland. Following judicial clerkships in Alaska and attorney positions in Washington, D.C., he entered the business world by joining the Princeton Review, where he taught students, trained instructors, designed courses and served in various corporate roles including Special Project Manager and Director of Marketing. As an MBA Career Advisor, Mark works with all students but has a particular focus in financial services.
Away from Haas, Mark is active with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training triathlon program. He received a BS in economics and a BA in international relations from UC Davis and a JD from the American University's Washington College of Law.
Lara Klein, Career Coach
Lara Klein is committed to supporting the EWMBA students and all Haas alumni in making their next career move, whether it’s advancing to a higher level role or making a career transition. Prior to joining Haas, Lara spent the past five years coaching the working professional MBA populations at NYU Stern School of Business, helping students and alumni to advance their careers and make transitions in a variety of industries and functions including consulting, finance, marketing, media, entertainment, technology, and healthcare/pharma. Lara spent the first 15+ years of her career in recruiting, career development, and other HR roles across a range industries, including companies such as Sony, International Creative Management, and Sanyo North America (now Panasonic). She has a B.A. in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from San Diego State University. She is a graduate of Accomplishment Coaching, an accredited coaching program in New York.
Luke Kreinberg, Career Coach
Luke Kreinberg primarily serves Executive MBA students and MBA alumni, specializing in helping students to move forward in their careers. He helps them gain clarity about objectives as well as identify the competencies they need to flourish in their professional lives. Some of the companies he's coached at include: Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, and Yahoo. Luke graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Davis with a BA in international relations. He received his Coaching Certification from New Ventures West in San Francisco. In his former life, Luke served as a partner in a boutique search firm and developed learning curricula for emerging technology firms. He is the author of The Book of Goals: Achievements, Plans, and Dreams of a Lifetime which has sold 100,000+ copies. Luke swims and gardens, but not at the same time.
Jeanne Lew, Career Coach
Jeanne has 15+ years in marketing and management consulting successfully introducing products and programs across the financial services, technology and consumer packaged goods sectors. Her professional career began in strategic, systems and litigation consulting with Price Waterhouse Management Consulting Services. Currently, she is a marketing and strategy consultant advising clients in strategic marketing and branding, and product development and implementation initiatives. Her educational background includes an MBA in Marketing from UCLA's Anderson School.
Erica Peng, Career Coach
Erica coaches students to connect with purpose and meaning, and clarify the core skills and commitments needed to create fulfilling and successful careers. Her approach involves cultivating "internal" grounded presence, along with "external" interpersonal skills and competencies. She brings experience and sensibility as an award-winning digital storyteller, and performing singer and dancer, to support students to develop and convey compelling personal leadership stories. Having lived, worked, and traveled extensively in Asia, Latin America and Europe, Erica brings nuanced awareness and skill as she works with people from around the world, across language, culture and other dimensions of difference.
Erica also works with leaders and teams through her own consulting and coaching practice, Deep Stream Leadership, and coaches senior executives at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) Executive Education Advanced Leadership Program. She facilitates and delivers interpersonal development courses at Haas, Stanford GSB, and University of San Francisco School of Law. Linda Yach, Career Coach
Linda Yach serves the EWMBA students and Haas alumni population, helping them identify their sweet spot and shift into jobs or careers that energize them as well as advising them in a variety of areas including resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation. She has consulted with Lee Hecht Harrison, an international outplacement company that assists employees who have been displaced as a result of downsizing - delivering career transition services through one-on-one coaching and group workshops - to individuals in the technology, manufacturing, biotech, and financial services industries. Once a month, she facilitates a Speaking Circle®, a small-group public speaking modality that transforms the way people communicate by focusing on the connection between speaker and listeners.
Linda has firsthand experience in career transition, having explored a number of careers herself, starting out as a public school bilingual educator, a web content master at InfoWorld, and a paralegal in several law firms and in Nestlé USA's legal department.
She holds a B.A. in Spanish from The University of St. Thomas and spent a year living and working in Spain following graduation. In 2009, she received her coaching certification from The Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, and has been working with individuals to discover their "what's next" ever since.
Dorothy Zhuomei, Career Coach
Dorothy Zhuomei is a leadership and career coach specialized in working with high-performing emerging leaders. Since 2011, Dorothy has coached hundreds of MBA students, business professionals and entrepreneurs on leadership, career and personal development. Her clients include emerging leaders and entrepreneurs from Google, Y Combinator and 500 Startups. Dorothy received leadership coaching training and earned her MBA at the Kellogg School of Management. She is further certified as a Professional Integral Coach after a year-long intensive training at New Ventures West.
Prior to becoming a coach, Dorothy worked as a Management Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group's San Francisco Office. She has accumulated business experiences in a broad range of sectors including healthcare, technology, non-profits, venture capital and entrepreneurship. In addition to her MBA from Kellogg, She holds a BA in Biochemistry from Occidental College and a Master in Engineering Management with a focus in Design and Operations from Northwestern University. In her spare time, Dorothy loves taking dance lessons, listening to podcasts on interesting human stories, and exploring the Bay Area restaurant scene with her husband and friends.

Kay Dawson, Director of Operations, Technology & Data
Kay joins the Haas CMG having honed her MBA career management skills at HEC Paris and Chicago Booth. She has been a career coach, business developer, relationship manager and an MBA recruiter, so brings this comprehensive knowledge of the diverse needs of the CMG stakeholders to the Operations Team. She studied languages at the University of Cambridge and worked as a headhunter before spending 12 years with GE managing recruitment and operations for undergraduate and MBA leadership programs. Kay is a British citizen who came to the US 3 years ago and is doing her best to see as much of the country as possible whilst amassing half marathon finisher medals.
Sarah Bottger, Program Manager
Sarah comes to Haas CMG after two years as a Graduate Student Services Advisor for the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley. She joins the team as the Program Manager in the Employer Relations team supporting employers looking to engage with Haas MBAS talent in the Investment Banking, Online Retail eCommerce, Social Impact and Retail CPG sectors. Prior to coming to UC Berkeley, she worked for seven years in undergraduate admissions at Dominican University of California and Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. She holds a Master of Arts Management degree from Columbia College Chicago as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Valparaiso University. Sarah is a native of Chicagoland who came to the Bay Area four years ago to escape snow, freezing cold, and extreme humidity. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and adopted animals (two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and a cat), running, and eating all of the great vegan food in the East Bay.
Jenna Giusti, Program Manager
Jenna joined Haas CMG in 2015 as an Events Coordinator, managing the complex cycle of employer campus recruiting events and engagements. In 2016, she became a Program Manager and now supports MBA recruiting strategies of various employers, with focus on Consulting, Technology, Healthcare, Design, and Entertainment. Jenna also coordinates logistics for employer recruitment activities and on-campus interviews. She is a proud East Bay native with an MBA in Marketing from Saint Mary's College and BA in Hospitality from Ohio University. Outside of work, Jenna loves spending time with her family, walking on the trail, coordinating weddings, and camping in Yosemite.
Marcia Soares, Program Manager
Marcia comes to CMG from her previous role working for the Master of Financial Engineering here at Berkeley-Haas. Prior to joining Haas, Marcia worked in a very unique new industry where she led the marketing strategy for B2B partners in the sustainability sector. As a Program Manager, Marcia supports CMG with our communication efforts and manages the delivery of workshops, events and support services aligned with the Full-Time MBA program.
Outside of Haas, Marcia has been working in property management in the private sector for the last ten years. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in Communications Studies. Born and raised in Brazil, Marcia loves to meet new people from different backgrounds and cultures. Away from work, she cherishes the time she has to spend with her husband and son in addition to her extended family in get-togethers.
Christine Blaine, Operations Manager
Born and raised in the Boston area, Christine has been a resident of Berkeley for the past 20 years. Before joining Haas, Christine worked in the retail, banking and specialty food industries with positions in sales, marketing, production and operations. She graduated from California State University in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Christine manages and supports our CMG operations for the MBA programs.
Claire Ferszt, Event Coordinator
Claire is our new events coordinator at Haas CMG who recently relocated to the Bay area from Chicago. She was a double major in Public Relations and Advertising from DePaul University in May of 2016. Claire has a passion for events, people, and education which led her to Berkeley. She is very excited to be part of the CMG team and create helpful events for both students and employers. Outside of the office you can either find her relaxing in her home with friends and family or trying to find new shoes.
Diana Acidera, Program Coordinator
Diana joined the Haas CMG as Program Coordinator to support MBA students at the Recruitment Center, coordinate event management logistics, and develop marketing communications initiatives. Prior to joining us at Haas, she worked with TRIO Programs and in the education field focusing to promote school-community partnerships. Diana received a BA in Chicano Studies and Political Science from U.C. Berkeley, as well as an MBA in Marketing and MA in Management & Educational Leadership from Mills College. Outside of work, she loves promoting wellness, cultivating emotional intelligence, and mindful leadership by teaching yoga, meditation, and SIY Engage classes. She is passionate about fully immersing in diverse cultures and customs through traveling, dance, foods, and music.
Industry Specialists are advisors who have had successful careers in the industry/role that they provide guidance on. They share their knowledge through 1:1 and small group advising sessions, workshops and panels. Additionally, they provide mock interviews, review industry specific resumes and cover letters and may offer networking suggestions and additional target companies to consider. Abigail Franklin, Investment Banking & Real Estate
Abby advises finance and real estate students at Haas. Prior to joining Haas in 2011, she worked as a Healthcare Investment Banker for 13 years in both New York and San Francisco primarily at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. She was responsible for structuring and underwriting multi-million dollar bond financings for West Coast healthcare systems in addition to working on healthcare mergers and acquisitions. Abby serves as a trustee for the Berkeley Public Library and served as a board member of Prospect Sierra School, an independent K-8 school in El Cerrito, from 2011 to 2014. Abby and her family reside in Berkeley.
Deepak Gupta, Startups/Entrepreneurship
Deepak has 15+ years of experience as a VC, startup advisor, coach, and finance/sales strategist. He also has rich and diverse experience in multiple startups spanning R&D, operations, sales, field support, and finance. His experiences at various startups, accelerators, and venture capital provide Deepak a unique multi-hat perspective backed by an impressive and deep network of contacts in the Bay Area. He serves as a Startup Advisor within the Berkeley-Haas Entrepreneurship Program at UC Berkeley and is a coach for the Startup Marketplace.

Anita Kishore, Healthcare
Anita Kishore has coached hundreds of students to find jobs in healthcare and consulting. She specializes in dual degree business/STEM students, executive students, and career switchers. Anita helps students establish goals, define a recruiting strategy, and refine interview skills to clearly express their interests.
Anita actively coaches MBA students with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), serving high-potential underrepresented minorities. Prior to her career as a coach, Anita worked in positions of increasing seniority in the healthcare industry. Anita followed her passion to improve access to affordable medicines by serving pharmaceutical clients in both the private and public sectors. Early on, she developed skills as a consultant at Bain & Company, as a Director of Portfolio Management at Sandoz (a Division of Novartis), and as a Senior Director of Primary Care Strategy at Pfizer. Anita transitioned to the public sector with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) leading the immunization supply chain logistics group, expanding the country scope from seven to nine countries across Africa and South Asia.
Anita holds a Bachelor of Science from Yale University, a Master of Science from the University of Melbourne, a PhD from the University of Georgia, and recently completed an executive Master of Public Administration from the NYU Robert Wagner School of Public Service. Anita was also a Coca-Cola Scholar and a Rotary Ambassadorial Fellow.
Christina Meinberg, Social Impact
Christina has 15+ years of experience as a sustainable business consultant, academic administrator/nonprofit leader, business analyst, marketer and mentor. She has diverse experience advising executives at organizations such as Earthbound Farm, Teck Resources, Autodesk, Johnson & Johnson, Hitachi and others. In her time at Haas, she has helped dozens of students build and navigate social impact and public sector job search and placement strategies. When she's not advising students, she strategizes about Haas' social impact career curriculum and fosters collaborative relationships with companies, non-profits, alumni, executives, and peers at other academic institutions. She is currently enrolled in the Professional Coaching Certification course at New Ventures West in San Francisco, and has an MBA focused in sustainable enterprise from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she co-founded the Sustainable Venture Capital Investment Competition.
Wendy Pratt, CPG
Wendy Pratt has over 12 years of experience successfully building brands and launching new products for both large global businesses and smaller companies in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) world.
After graduation from Claremont McKenna College (BA in Economics), Wendy began her career in management consulting with Deloitte.
Subsequently, Wendy completed her Masters of Business Administration from The Anderson School at UCLA. Then, she transitioned to Brand Management gaining experience as a summer intern at Procter & Gamble and working for Nestlé USA for over six years. She managed the largest brand in the Petcare Division, worked in New Ventures for the Beverage Division and worked on the integration of Nestlé and PurinaPetcare.
After Nestlé, Wendy worked for Roll Global for six years launching new products and managing businesses in the Paramount Farms Division. Specifically, she led the introduction of two new snack lines, developed two consumer websites and launched the company's first B2B website.
David Riemer, Product Marketing
David lives at the intersection of innovation and storytelling. He helps entrepreneurs, artists and business people focus their ideas through the power of narrative. In short, he helps people get their story straight. After running an ad agency and holding numerous senior marketing roles in Internet companies, including Yahoo!, earlier in his career, David created Box Out Industries to work with innovators and Spiral Staircase to collaborate with artists. He teaches at Berkeley-Haas Business school and speaks all over the world about the power of storytelling.
In his role as Industry Specialist for Product Marketing, David supports students who are interested in strategic roles in tech, but don't necessarily have deep technical backgrounds in engineering or computer science. Often times, Product Marketing or Business Development roles are great entry points for Haas grads who have a difficult time moving directly into Product Management.
David also supports any student looking to clarify their personal story and develop better ways of telling.
Bill Rindfuss, Financial Services
Bill is Relationship Manager for Financial Services recruiting. He is also a Finance Faculty member, and has a broader role in developing the Finance program at Berkeley-Haas and representing it from Admissions through Alumni Relations. Prior to Haas, Bill worked at JPMorgan and predecessors in New York and then San Francisco for 20 years, with experience in leveraged finance, industry coverage groups, and as head of Credit for the West Coast. Bill holds a BA from Colgate in Mathematics and Economics and an MBA from Columbia in Finance and Management.
Jen Wana, Retail
Jen Wana has over 20 years of experience in retail, marketing, CPG and publishing. Most recently, she worked at Williams-Sonoma Inc. as the Director of Brand Marketing for Pottery Barn. In that role, she oversaw consumer promotions, market research, partnerships, credit card/loyalty program, and events. Prior to Williams-Sonoma, she was at Gap Inc. as a Sr. Merchandiser before moving into marketing as a Sr. Brand Manager. She has also held marketing positions at L'Oreal and InStyle magazine (Time Inc.) after a brief stint in management consulting for Accenture. She received her BA from University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from Stanford School of Business.
Jonathan Assayag, Product Management
Jonathan (Harvard MBA '10, Carnegie Mellon '05) helps students and alumni figure out the best career paths for them and think through the strategy and tactics to land the right job.
He's knowledgeable about conducting networked job searches, career changes, and can offer guidance on best practices for both small and large technology companies. Having started, managed, and sold his own business, Jonathan can discuss the pros/cons of entrepreneurship as well as roles in product, marketing, operations, IT, and design.
He currently works as a Senior Technical Product Manager at Amazon in the SF Bay Area, helping design and bring a new innovative product to market. Previously, Jonathan has worked as: Director of Product Management for eÓtica (Brazil's largest eyewear eCommerce); Co-founder and CEO of Lema21 Eyewear (US Venture backed startup, TechCrunch dubbed "The Warby Parker of Brazil"); Product Manager at a Zinch (US Venture-backed startup, acquired by Chegg); and Management Consultant at Deloitte.
Max Wesman, Product Management
Max (FTMBA '10) is VP of Product for GoodHire, a leading startup in the pre-employment background screening services space. He oversees the product strategy, development, operations, and growth. Previously, Max managed and launched enterprise and small business software products for HP and Microsoft. Prior to becoming a PM, Max worked as a Management Consultant for Deloitte and received undergraduate degrees from the Wharton School and College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
Max has been managing and mentoring new and experienced PMs for over five years. He enjoys helping people understand how to be successful in the PM role both within an organization and externally through working with customers to better understand their needs. His experience transitioning from Consulting to Product is particularly helpful for MBA students looking to make a career migration.
Outside of work, Max's passions include international travel, golf, cooking, and home brewing.
Christine Tringale, Consulting
Christine is a 2014 alumna from the Haas FTMBA program. Before Haas, she worked at Deloitte as a technology consultant. In this role, she spent three years implementing a new technology system to enable the government of British Columbia to better track and disperse financial aid to qualifying citizens.
At Haas, Christine focused on Social Impact and was heavily involved in the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership (now titled the Center for Social Sector Leadership). For her mid-MBA internship, Christine worked with the Gap Foundation, developing an approach to measure the impact of the Foundation on both Gap Inc. employees and the community.
After Haas, she joined LEK Consulting's Media & Entertainment practice, largely focusing on general strategy and due diligences for Private Equity M&A. She recently transitioned to a Corporate Strategy role with Disney, where she focuses on strategic Brand Partnerships and overarching strategy for tenants at Disney's Downtown Disney, Florida Disney Springs, and Shanghai Disneytown locations.
Lee Koffler, Consulting
Lee Koffler is a financial services executive in San Francisco. He has been a leader at Orbis Investment Management and McKinsey and Company.
Lee received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his MBA degree from Harvard Business School. Previously, he worked for two nonprofits as part of fellowships: the International Rescue Committee and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
Suzy Obst, Healthcare
Suzy has spent her career working to improve the way our healthcare system functions. Her experience includes roles in strategy, business development, marketing and general management.
Most recently, Suzy was Vice President, Partnerships, at Limeade, a well-being and employee engagement technology company. She developed a partnership strategy to expand the capabilities Limeade offers, executed those partnerships, and managed the operations team responsible for implementing.
Previously, Suzy was SVP of Strategy and Business Development at McKesson. In this role, she was responsible for developing and executing business strategy and leading strategic initiatives including new business development, partnerships and M&A. Prior to this role, Suzy built and launched a new business to improve the efficiency of patient recruitment for clinical trials. Suzy was also responsible for strategic planning and program development related to personalized medicine and specialty drug services.
Prior to McKesson, Suzy was a Marketing Manager at Pfizer, responsible for product strategy and sales communications. Her previous experience includes roles as a Market Planning Manager at Genentech, where she managed life cycle planning and patient communications; Market Analyst at Alere Medical, where she managed marketing communications for a disease management technology; and Research Associate at Covance, where she consulted with manufacturers regarding development and reimbursement needs.
Suzy has a B.A. in psychology from Harvard University and an M.B.A from Haas. In her free time, she volunteers with Cooking Matters, a program to teach nutrition and cooking to low-income students in the Bay area.
Christina Yagjian, Energy
Christina has worked in energy for 10+ years, in commercial, policy, and technical capacities. Christina currently works as a Principal Renewable Transactor at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. In this role, she negotiates structured contracts and amendments related to wind, solar, biomass, environmental attributes, and energy storage.
Christina's experience includes five years in federal renewable energy policy at the Sierra Club, and roles at GE Wind and the World Resources Institute. Christina is also active with numerous energy NGOs, is a founding member of AccesoSolar, an NGO that builds sustainable energy systems in Latin America, and designed a microgrid for an artisanal diamond mine in Sierra Leone.
Christina holds a Master of Environmental Management and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University and a BA in International Development from Southwestern University.
