The Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH)
Enrichment Opportunities for Youth
The core mission of the Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas is to makes the pursuit of a college education a reality for under-resourced Bay Area youth using the principles and real-life lessons of business and entrepreneurship through the Middle School Program and the High School Program.
YEAH also helps Haas and Cal students become leaders who are motivated to go beyond themselves and redefine what it means to do business by being mentors to students in the middle or high school programs.
YEAH has access to resources for students who don't fit into either of the above two descriptions, through the Berkeley Business Academy for Youth (B-BAY) program, and Powered by YEAH (PbY).
- B-BAY is a two-week summer camp for middle school students, offered this academic year July 5-15, 2011. The proceeds of B-BAY are used to support YEAH's core programming, and continue to keep the program free for our target audience.
- PbY is YEAH's way of encouraging all of our students to get involved in their communities and give back. YEAH is proud to be a part of the President's Volunteer Service Award, and hours spent on PbY programs can count toward this award.
