The Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH)
YEAH Programs and Beyond
YEAH focuses on one of the leading causes of the achievement gap in education: the opportunity gap. Our programs fill in some of the missing pieces for students facing a scarcity of educational and social opportunities by virtue of their familial or social situations. Students participating in YEAH typically:
- Would be first in their family to go to college
- Live in low-income households, often with one parent, guardian or foster parent
- Attend public schools
- Have average grade points
YEAH offers a series of year-long programs that begin with 6th grade and extend through 12th grade. Two core programs make up the YEAH continuum: the Middle School Program (After School Business Clubs at five participating middle schools), and the High School Program (distinct programs and activities for each of the grades 9 through 12).
