Springboard Leadership Overview

Current YEAH students going into 11th grade

Program Description
Through a program specifically designed to meet the needs of 11th and 12th graders, Springboard provides a wide variety of college-pathway support, including SAT preparation, financial aid workshops, and an East Coast college tour. In addition, students participate in summer internships that expose them to positive corporate role models and expand their horizons to see what success after college looks like.

Skills Taught
Leadership, College readiness, financial literacy and business etiquette skills.

Student Requirements
Have successfully completed the YEAH Saturday Academy

Program Duration
School year is dedicated to Saturday programming on designated weekends. Summers offer various employment opportunities such as Peer Leaders and corporate internships.

Meeting Time
Designated Saturday Mornings: 9:00am-12 noon during the school year.

Incidental costs for test tutoring, East Coast college tour and Global Service Learning Trip

Student Time
Attend menu-based programs on designated Saturdays for 3 hours during the regular school year. Summer Employment time commitments vary depending on assignment.

Parent Commitment
Annually-20 hours of community service which includes 5 hours volunteering with YEAH. Parents should consider transportation time to and from Haas and that their students may be involved in various competitions over the course of a calendar year.
