Job Description:


Manages the daily operations of the Haas Office & Instructional Services unit at the Haas School of Business.. Through staff of 3.5 FTE's, manages the operations of the Haas Mailroom, Copy Center , Stockroom, and HaasGear logo apparel stores, both on-line and on-site; coordinates purchase and sale of textbooks and preparation of readers.


Responsibilities:


Supervisory responsibility for operations of the Office and Instructional Services unit, including Mailroom, Copy Center, HaasGear store and classroom support
Prepare, monitor  and analyze unit budgets; administer personnel policies 
Manage and negotiate lease and maintenance agreements of all copier, facsimile, and related equipment
Supervise administrative business processes for unit, including accounts payable and receivable and reconciliation of accounts

Manage production, purchase and distribution of electronic and printed course readers and textbooks: 
•  Participate in selection and evaluation of course reader vendors
•  Oversee the order and distribution annually of 240+ textbooks and desk copies
•  Order Harvard Business School cases – up to 300 per school year and ensure copyright clearance as required

Manage the HaasGear web and on-site merchandise store including:
•  Development of content and appearance of website: revision of product names, images, descriptions and pricing
•  Development of  HaasGear products
•  Management and control of  inventory
•  Inventory control and all associated accounting

Serve as CalNet Deputy for Haas:
•  Assist with CalNet authentication process in Deputy role
•  Issue tokens, passphrases and CalNet information to faculty and staff
•  Provide faculty with information support for use of Catalyst, Bearfacts and e-Grading systems, which require CalNet ID activation


Requirements & Qualifications:


•  Bachelors degree and some related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
•  Previous supervisory experience
•  Understanding of campus processes and procedures, rules and regulations
•  Knowledge of common campus -specific and other computer application programs
•  Interpersonal skills to effectively motivate others
•  Skills to evaluate issues and identify resolution
•  Strong service orientation
•  Strong communication skills; both verbally and in writing
•  Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
•  Understanding of retail practices and processes
