Salary: This is for two full-time career position classified by the university as a Student Affairs Officer III. The salary will range between $44,808 up to $60,325 annually plus benefits.

Job Description:
The Haas School of Business is recruiting an Assistant Director of Full-Time MBA Admissions. The Assistant Director will be a member of the Admissions Committee, which recruits, evaluates and selects students for the Full-Time MBA program. The incumbent will assist with developing the recruitment strategy, managing enrollment, and awarding of scholarships. The Assistant Director will represent the Haas School at domestic and international recruitment events and will review and evaluate applications for admission. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the alumni volunteer network and working with students to implement specific recruitment efforts, including diversity initiatives.
File review and applicant selection:
• Review and evaluate applications for admission
• Interview candidates for the MBA program
• Assist the Directors and Associate Director in selecting students for the full-time Berkeley MBA program
General recruitment:
• Assist with coordination and planning of off-campus recruiting events
• Represent The Berkeley MBA program at on and off-campus recruiting events
• Meet with prospective applicants and visitors to campus
• Respond to requests for information from prospective students
• Provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants
Diversity initiatives:
• Coordinate and participate in efforts to increase diversity within The Berkeley MBA program
• Assist in coordinating The Berkeley MBA Fall Diversity Workshops
• Represent The Berkeley MBA program at various recruiting events sponsored by diverse organizations
Alumni projects:
• Maintain, manage, and build the alumni volunteer network (MBA Worldwide Admissions Volunteer Effort or WAVE) by encouraging member participation in recruitment activities and outreach
• Create and update communication to market the MBA WAVE to Haas alumni
• Manage the alumni phone-a-thon
Student projects:
• Work with student clubs to develop specific recruitment efforts
• Assist in the selection of Haas Student Ambassadors and with admitted student events
Required:
• Academic preparation from college; marketing experience and/or experience making admissions decisions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated creativity, resourcefulness, and keen judgment
• Outstanding analytic skills and ability to interpret and synthesize large volumes of applicant information
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/multiple deadlines
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Very strong public speaking skills
• Willingness to travel
Preferred:
• BA or advanced degree
• Supervisory experience
• Familiarity with MBA programs and admissions selectivity of American and international business schools
• Familiarity with database systems and software applications
• 15% domestic and 15% international travel
