Getting to Haas and Parking
NOTE: Parking on the UC Berkeley campus is very difficult. If you are visiting someone or attending a conference, call ahead to ascertain whether you can obtain a parking permit to park in the Kleeberger parking lot across the street from the Haas School. Permits are not available for prospective MBA student visitation programs. Here is a list of public parking options off campus.

Take 101 to 80 East, San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge.
Take 80 East across the Bay Bridge and stay on 80 East to Berkeley.
Exit at University Avenue and head east toward campus.
University Avenue dead-ends at campus. Turn left onto Oxford Street.
Turn right onto Hearst Avenue.
Turn right onto Gayley/Piedmont Road (called La Loma on the left).
The Haas School is about a half-mile down, on the right.

Take I-80 to University Avenue.
Exit at University Avenue and head east toward campus.
University Avenue dead-ends at campus. Turn left onto Oxford Street.

From Interstate 880 (Oakland, Oakland Airport; San Jose)
Take 880 North to Oakland.
At the 880-80 junction, take 80 East to Berkeley.
Exit at University Avenue and head east toward campus.

From Highway 24 (Walnut Creek)
Take Highway 24 West.
Exit at Berkeley / Tunnel Road and head west.
Continue on Tunnel Road, which becomes Ashby Avenue at Claremont Avenue.
Turn right onto College Avenue to Durant.
Make a right onto Durant.
At the end of Durant, make a left onto Piedmont.
The Haas School is about a half-mile down, on the left.

Here is a partial list of public parking options off campus. Costs vary.
City of Berkeley surface parking lot at Oxford Street, Allston Way, and Kittredge. Enter from Kittredge.
UC Student Union Garage, located on Bancroft just west of Telegraph (southside parking).
City of Berkeley Sather Gate Garage, located on Durant between Dana and Telegraph (south side of campus). Enter from Channing Way or Durant Ave.
City of Berkeley Center Street Garage, 2025 Center Street between Shattuck and Milvia Street.
Street parking: Read all parking restriction signs carefully. The rules and times are strictly enforced by the City of Berkeley.

Shuttles/taxis from the San Francisco Airport (SFO) or the Oakland Airport
Airport Shuttles
Travelers to the San Francisco Bay Area may fly into either
Oakland or San Francisco. The Oakland International Airport
is smaller and closer to Berkeley. Expect to pay about $20
for a shuttle from the Oakland Airport to the Haas School
and from $25 to $40 for a shuttle from San Francisco Airport
(SFO). For airport shuttles from either airport, you generally
need to call 24 hours in advance and again upon your arrival
at the airport.

Taxi Companies
Expect to pay about $35 for a taxi from the Oakland Airport
to the Haas School and about $45 to $50 for a taxi from San
Francisco's airport.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
From either airport, San Francisco or other points west or south of Berkeley, take a Richmond-bound BART train to the Downtown Berkeley station. Visit the BART website or call (510) 465-2278 for more information.
From the BART station, it's a 15-minute (uphill) walk to Haas; you can also take the campus shuttle bus (closest stop is at Scandinavian Designs, at Shattuck and Addison). Ask to be dropped off at the Haas School of Business. Fare is $1. Visit the campus shuttle website or call (510) 642-5149 for more information.
AC Transit
AC Transit bus service provides transportation for commuters to and from San Francisco and throughout Alameda and western Contra Costa County. There are several AC bus lines that come near the campus area. Visit the AC Transit website or call (510) 817-1717 for information.
