Media Advisory: Intel and UC Berkeley Team up for International Technology Entrepreneurship

Some of the world’s best engineers and scientists from 15 countries will present how they plan to make the world a better place through their innovations and entrepreneurial skills at the fourth annual Intel+UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge (IBTEC) at the Haas School of Business on November 18-20.
The 22 finalist teams will compete for $45K in prizes in cash prizes and valuable visibility before some of the leading venture capital firms of Silicon Valley, including Intel Capital, Intel’s venture capital arm and one of the world's largest technology VC organizations.
Two events associated with IBTEC are open to the news media and to the public:
1. BEST PRACTICES SESSION
WHAT:
Budding entrepreneurs from the community and from UC Berkeley’s business
plan competitions, including IBTEC, gather to learn with and from each other.
The topic of the Nov. 18 session is Internet Marketing & Business Strategies.

2. IBTEC FINALIST PRESENTATIONS AND AWARD CEREMONY
WHAT:
Teams will present three-minute elevator pitches of their business plans
at the Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum, followed by the awards ceremony. The
audience will have a chance to vote on which team will win the People’s
Choice Award.
