WHAT:
Kay-Yut Chen, principal scientist at Hewlett-Packard and a pioneer in the application
of experimental economics to business, will headline a panel of experts focused
on Prediction Markets at the UC Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum at the Haas School
of Business.
The panel will tackle the topic of prediction markets or "smart" markets capable of accurately predicting outcomes of uncertain future events. The discussion will focus on the usefulness and accuracy of different prediction strategies -- from prediction market software to experimental economics which replicates market and business scenarios in the lab.
