McElhaney Named 2005 Faculty Pioneer

Kellie McElhaney, executive director of the Center for Responsible Business at UC
Berkeley's Haas School of
Business, was named a 2005 Faculty Pioneer for
Institutional Impact by the biennial report - Beyond
Grey Pinstripes.
The Beyond Grey Pinstripes' Faculty Pioneer Awards -
released by World
Resources Institute and the Aspen Institute - identify exceptional
scholars and excellent
teachers who are leading the way in incorporating
social and environmental issues into their teaching
and research.
By founding the Center in 2003, McElhaney was
lauded by the panel of corporate judges as an agent
of change who has placed corporate responsibility
squarely as one of the core competencies and
competitive advantages of the Haas School of
Business.

Welcome to the second edition of the Center's
Redefining Good
Business newsletter! We've been very busy
over the past few months and we're excited to share
our news with you.
In addition to launching
a new fellows program for Haas MBAs in partnership
with McDonald's, we've enhanced our research
function as the new home of the Moskowitz Prize for
Social Responsible Investing, and we've just
celebrated fifteen years of guiding youth and families
toward economic and academic success through the
Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH). And we're also
proud to announce our executive director, Kellie
McElhaney, was recently named a Faculty Pioneer by
the 2005 Beyond Grey Pinstripes report. Enjoy!
