Gap Inc. Scholars in Corporate Social Responsibility




Supported by the Gap Foundation, the Gap Inc. CSR Scholars Program is a unique fellowship opportunity that supports Haas MBA students who demonstrate a commitment to the field of corporate social responsibility in their professional and educational pursuits.


This corporate-sponsored program provides two-year scholarships of $5,000 each year to three full-time incoming Haas MBAs. In addition to supporting students, this collaboration reflects Gap Inc.'s leadership role in strategic CSR and commitment to CSR as a critical component of business education and management training.

Selection Criteria and Eligibility


Recipients of the Gap Inc. CSR Scholars Program are required to take a certain number of CSR-related courses and complete a research project for Gap Inc. during their time at Haas.


Scholars are selected based on the following criteria: (1) demonstrate a strong commitment to the field of corporate social responsibility; (2) exhibit a strong commitment during their MBA education to practice business in a way that promotes a better world; and (3) hold distinct plans to integrate CSR into their future business careers.

Applications will be accepted from candidates already granted acceptance into the full-time Haas MBA program. The deadline for applications for the Gap Inc. Scholars Program is April 1, 2008. Please review our application guidelines for submission details.
