A state-of-the-art education facility includes an environment conducive to learning in comfort. As part of our Haas campus transformation, we have upgraded Cheit Hall to a climate-controlled building by installing air conditioning throughout the classrooms this fall. This upgrade has already started to significantly improve our students' and faculty's ability to learn and teach, even on very hot days.
The new HVAC system kicked in at the end of October 2012, in time to help students and faculty stay cool through the last few hot days of the year. Not only is the efficient HVAC system quieter but upgrading the existing HVAC controls has brought them up to the new campus standard and is creating measurable energy savings.
