YEAH Senior Hilary Mitchell represented the JUMAwokeez team and won the competition by .5% over the second place team Propeneurs. The competition was the culmination of 9 months of work that began in October 2007 between YEAH and JUMA Ventures of San Francisco. One of the benefits of the program is a two-year savings match that allows participating students to earn a match of 2-to-1 up to $1000 per year. That translates to a grand total of $6000 in savings for our students. A new YEAH/JUMA cohort will be forming in the fall of 2008. Contact Jeff Hicks at jhicks@haas.berkeley.edu if you are interested in recieving more information. |

Team Triple Threat came through to win the Dreyer's case study on April 18, 2008. They competed against five other teams in the 10th grade Saturday Academy Program. I think they won the judges over by creating samples of their new flavor, Brownie Batter Bomb! |
