Degrees are awarded in either December or May. A student may choose to participate in the May graduation ceremony prior to completing final degree requirements.

Diplomas are mailed three to four months after the student's official graduation date.

Degree Conferral

Degrees are conferred only in December and May. If you complete your degree requirements at the end of the Summer Session, you will be placed on the December degree list.

Effective Fall 2011, diplomas for graduates will be mailed automatically. For more information on diplomas, please see the registrar's website here.

Commencement

Commencement ceremonies are held once a year. This traditionally happens in the Greek Theatre on the weekend following final exams in the Spring semester.

You may participate in the May graduation ceremony prior to actually completing your degree requirements. December graduates may either participate in the ceremony prior to or after completion of degree requirements. However, your degree will only be conferred after completion of your degree requirements.

Exact information about the date, time, location, and guest attendance will be provided early in the Spring in the Commencement section.

Graduation with Honors

The top 10% of students in each graduating class, as measured by cumulative GPA, will earn the distinction "Graduation with Honors." The likely candidates will be recognized at Commencement based on GPA data available prior to completion of the last term's grades. However, official determination for "Graduation with Honors" will occur a few weeks after Commencement and will be based on the final cumulative GPA for all courses completed during the MBA Program.
